Panthers

Another dangerous bad team . Coming off their bye after beating down Denver . Denver’s bad but their defense isn’t and Carolina was over 20 points . Mayfield is now a Ram . McCaffrey a 9er . But all season this has been a very unpredictable team . They held Tampa to 3 points , beat Atlanta and the saints both of who beat Seattle . Another team playing with house money .
Another must win for Seattle if they want to go to the tourney . It don’t get any easier . Gotta get it .

I still sense a game effort from this team .
I’ll go 31-24 Hawks

In the NFL the teams with the worst records are like snakes. You never know when they will bite but they are all capable of doing so.
We should win because we have better strength up and down the roster, but injuries play a part and who knows which team will show up on Sunday on Defense.

The past month hasn't been impressive. We've lost 2 games then had about as lame of an opponent as one can imagine nearly beat us. In their last three games, the Panthers have held their opponents under 10 ppg while winning two of those 3 games. They have a good one-two running attack, and as we all are painfully aware, our run defense has been horrid. Like every other team in the NFC South, they're still in the hunt. Darnold had a solid game last week against a good defense. Our running backs are dinged up and the offensive line hasn't been protecting Geno as well as they had earlier in the season. I sense a trap game.

I don't like this matchup, particularly our run defense vs. their running offense, so I'm jumping off the bandwagon this week. I think we get snuck up on.

Panthers 24, Hawks 22.

If we could stop the run we could beat most teams. Unfortunately we have handed monumental rushing totals to some of the worst rush attacks in the league. Tampa was dead last when we played them but I discount much of that turd of a game. Raiders not so much. Or Rams. One more brutal performance against the run I'm back on the fire Hurrt bandwagon. This defense is wasting a potential playoff run.

Ill tell you something really bad I'm noticing about the defense. They aren't playing hard as a unit. I've seen way too many plays with guys standing around. On Akers first TD run there were a couple guys at the goal line standing there basically flat footed watching him walk in. Diggs was one. I've got issues with his effort. He hit like a mack truck till he got paid. May be one of those I got my money guys.I dont see the swarming gang tackling from the team nor do I see good fundamentals tackling which is a bigger problem than scheme IMO. Worst Pete Carroll defense since 2010 to my eyes.

The other thing to note is that the 12's haven't fully embraced this team like they did during the LOB days. I was in attendance at the Raiders game and a good 25-30% of the crowd was comprised of Raiders fans, the most I've ever seen for a visiting team in Seattle. There won't be near that many Panther fans in the crowd, but the point is that the level of enthusiasm isn't there if that many tickets are being sold to a visiting team's fans. Additionally, for years, the noise level hasn't come close to approaching that which was present during the LOB. Like my buddy said, Washington needs to get rid of the 3 strikes law and let the crazy's out of jail and empty the mental wards in the hospitals so they can attend the Hawks games. I don't think there's going to be a huge HFA for us.

Lumen hasn’t been much of a HFA for awhile . I can’t speak to your experience but the donkeys game it sounded like a jet taking off . As for there being a bunch of raiders there it’s a team that travels well . I have raiders friends who are fanatics . One wanted to hunt down Goodell for moving the game to England in 2017 so it isn’t just me . But we’ve been spoiled as hawks fans then they all saw we traded Jesus and cut Bobby and figured they didn’t want to pay to watch a 2 win team . If we get to the tournament the 12s will show up .

I've been to home games against other teams with very strong fan bases, like the Packers, Niners, Bears, and Cowboys, and there wasn't near as many opposing fans as was at the Raiders game. Plus the Raiders suck, were just 3-7 coming into that contest, and we're not a huge rival of theirs. There's no excuse for our fans being that wimpy.

IMO it's going to take a little more than simply making the playoffs for our fan base to get re-energized. We ain't the Lions or Browns. We've been there, done that. The bar for making the playoffs is extremely low, and everybody knows it. If we beat the hell out of the Niners at home like we did in 2012, when Richard Sherman returned a block FG for a TD and Kam knocked the snot out of Vernon Davis, then maybe. But it's going to take something truly momentous to get the 12's back into it.

It’s what it is . 9ers are tough and don’t fill up their seats . Rams either . Like I say we’ve been spoiled. And there’s not the name recognition. My hairdresser is a fan , was a huge Russell fan . I saw her yesterday and she didn’t even know what kind of year Genos having . She was complaining about him throwing a pick in the previous game . I filled her in on his accomplishments and she was quite surprised . It may never get like it was but as I say the opener was plenty nuts . I think HFA is overrrated anymore . There’s been several years we’ve won more away then home . When you have the LOB and young Russ and beast that’s your home and away advantage .

Thank you . That must mean the defense shows up unless Geno does a Geno . I just saw another crazy stat today . Geno has had a qbr of 80 and a completion % of at least 60 in 12 straight games . Far above it actually .

The only people who ever did that were Aaron Rodgers and Payton Manning once each and both over a decade ago .
Might have to be Geno and the boys . Hopefully we have a running back .
GO HAWKS!!!
