The Tua situation wasn't the fault of the refs on the field, so I have a hard time believing that the officiating is being influenced by it.
I don't like the idea of reviewing penalties as we have enough game stoppages as it is, but they need some sort of appeal process or independent review.

Yeah, that one was horsechit, too, at least as bad as the one against the Chiefs. I suppose you could say that he body slammed him, but that's a huge reach. To have done anything less would have allowed Brady to escape the sack.
They've been over sensitive to roughing the passer for decades. Heck, I can remember Jack Lambert saying that they ought to make quarterbacks wear skirts, and that was back in the 70's. But these past couple of incidents are so far over the top that they can't continue to ignore the problem.
