I could never watch a game on my phone or tablet. I enjoy the big screen experience and would be very unsatisfied watching
on a tiny screen.

If you have a smart TV, Roku, et al, you can watch it on your big screen TV. That's how we're going to have to watch Thursday Night Football this year as it's on Amazon Prime, a streaming service.

What I hate about streaming is I'm a channel flipper and when commercials come on I jump to another channel so this streaming is going to annoy the hell out of me (I'm assuming there will be advertisements).

Yes, it's difficult to channel surf when you're streaming. But if you're going to want to watch TNF live this season, you're going to have to get used to it.

From the looks of NFL plus, the premium package has parts that are commercial free, but the live games will obviously have commercials.

It's interesting that you mentioned commercials. My best friend and I have a difficult time watching live football games together. He prefers to record the game, wait a couple of hours, then replay it, fast forwarding through the commercials. At least on Sundays in the early and afternoon time slots, I like watching it live as I have fantasy football teams and my pick'em league that I like to keep track of. We've also had game threads, not so much in this forum, but others, where people will comment on the live action. And I have a circle of friends that will often times text each other back and forth as the game progresses. The past few years, I've had the Red Zone and will watch it in the opposite time slot that the Seahawks are playing in. When the Seahawks are playing, everything else gets put on hold.

Watching football at a venue where multiple TV's with different games going on is fun, too. But I don't think that my wife would appreciate me having 4 or 5 TV sets side-by-side in my man cave.

Lol, that's the dream isn't it Riv. I would love that set up!

So is this NFL Plus similar to NFL Sunday Ticket? Is that still a thing nowadays? Personally I use my cable provider and have the "time shift" package so I get the Eastern feeds. For morning games I typically get anywhere from 3-5 games on. As North mentioned, I like to channel surf.

I also subscribe to DAZN during football season so come around noon, I head on over to Red Zone to watch all the finishes and for fantasy football purposes. And then when the "Hawks game starts in afternoon, it stays on that channel except during commercials. But there is something to PVR'ing it and waiting about an hour so you can skip commercials, but then I have to shut my phone down till I catch up live.

I also have Prime so I should be good for TNF.

Looks cool. I’ll get it . I don’t always have access to a TV early in the season so I wind up driving to watch games . I don’t like missing games . A phone or tablet is better then nothing .

I can rememember driving out of the mountains where we were elk hunting to find radio reception to listen to some rotten Seahawks team get beat by some lousy St Lois cardinals team maybe 35 plus years ago . We forget how it used to be .

One of my favorite places in Seattle is Slugger's, right across from the north parking lot of the football stadium. They have TV sets behind the bar hanging side-by-side, so you can sit at the bar and just move your eyes a few degrees right or left and catch 3-4 games simultaneously. Great place to watch the early games.

No, it's not the same as Sunday Ticket. NFL plus has all preseason games but does not telecast/stream live out of market regular season games. Those rights are currently owned by Direct TV but expire after this season. Here's an explanation of the differences:

https://thestreamable.com/news/how-does ... on%20games.

The next generation of Sunday Ticket will be interesting. The competitors are thought to include Amazon Prime, ESPN+, YouTube vis Google, and Apple TV.

I think you mean St. Louis Rams.

I just figured out how to get my Spectrum app to play on the TV in my motor home via a Roku stick and a wifi hotspot. Opens up a lot of possibilities, like visiting my brother-in-law at his primitive cabin near Lake Chelan.

You'll have to check out the new Sunday Ticket next season.

I have become a zealot of the NFL Red Zone program. It's awesome to watch the games this way. For those who aren't familiar with it, it's part of Directv Sunday Ticket's programming offers. I'm not sure if it can be ordered separately from the regular NFL Sunday Ticket or not. I watch it until the Seahawk game comes on, then switch to that.

From 1960 to 1987, the professional American football team now known as the Arizona Cardinals played in St. Louis, Missouri, as the St. Louis Cardinals. The team moved from Chicago to St. Louis in 1960, and played their first home game there on October 2 at Sportsman's Park against the New York Giants

With a Chromcast USB dongle connected to you TV you can cast your phone display to your TV for full screen.

Sluggers is awesome btw Riv. We never miss it pre game . I’ve had so many memories . I remember 2005 we were playing the 9ers later in the year and I was chatting with a guy in a nice Steelers jacket . I think they were 7-5 or something and playing a good bears team we were battling for HFA. I said good luck today . We won’t see you unless it’s in the super bowl ……how do I remember stuff like that and forget to eat breakfast :-)
