I assume that you're in the path of the total eclipse. You can get a pair of cardboard frame glasses for less that a buck apiece, so your employer was wise to get them for everyone. It's a good cover your ass strategy as they could discipline you for not wearing them if you tried to claim an on the job injury due to looking at the eclipse.
