Trump and Kansas City

Postby RiverDog » Mon Feb 03, 2020 10:45 am

I wish I had a link as I just got a good belly laugh off some memes on Facebook:

After tweeting congratulations to "the entire state of Kansas" following the Kansas City Chief's 31-20 win over the San Francisco 49'ers, President Trump is reportedly preparing to sign an Executive Order moving the Kansas-Missouri border some 200 miles east so as to include Kansas City.

Another one shows some Chiefs fans and says "After 50 years, your finally in the Super Bowl, but the President still doesn't know what state you're in."

In the Chief Baboon's defense, there is a Kansas City, KN just across the Missouri River from Kansas City, MO, but as most competent individuals with any sense of history know, Arrowhead Stadium is located in Missouri. But like his Alabama hurricane forecast and his mistaking Toledo for Dayton, at least he was closer than his rendition of our army seizing airports during the War of 1812.

I swear, that man has a permanent HUA condition. I honestly wonder if he could pass a 6th grade geography quiz, or worse yet, I know damn well that he couldn't pass a citizenship test.

I didn't know either as I don't care enough to know. I imagine fans in Kansas and Missouri back them.

Then again I'm not the president of the United States tweeting. It's a small matter I imagine everyone that hates him will blow up.

Asea you are truly all over the map . I dont believe you didn't know that KC was in Missouri, you're too smart. I swear you have his handlers talking points down pat. This isnt on trump detractors who hit the softball out of the park. It's the idiot who hung it out over the plate to blame

You gotta love Drumpf      A president so Fing stupid he doesn't educate himself well enough not to make a fool out of himself in front of the entire world like usual.Him on film chatting and gesturing to others during the national anthem at his big party won't be a blip on the radar screen either.

Oh well I didn't change my mind because of any of this. it's the least of my issues with him.

I gotta give Trump a pass on the national anthem being played on TV. No one is silent/salutes at the tube when it's being played on television. And even the gaff on congratulating the "great state of Kansas" wouldn't have been so bad had he somehow included Missouri in his tweet as there is a Kansas City, KS, and who knows, perhaps most Kansans consider the Chiefs as their own as geographically it is the closest NFL team and they do share part of the name.

But you have to keep in mind that this is the man that once lobbied other NFL executives to become an owner and who once owned a franchise in a rival league (the USFL's New Jersey Generals) that was seeking a merger. It's inexcusable for him not to know that the Chiefs are located in Missouri. It's another example of him having his head up his arse.

It didn't change my mind, either, but it is a symptom of a larger problem, and that is Trump is too lazy to educate himself. This is just one of many examples. He's one of these people that only looks at the pictures in a book and skips reading the text because it requires effort. It's why he doesn't bother reading his daily briefings and instead watches Fox News. It's easier for him to listen to someone tell him what he wants to hear than it is to have to read a 3 or 4 page brief, and that I do have a major issue with him over as it might explain why he makes these seat-of-the-pants decisions that catches even his close advisors off guard.
