Did Romo's coming back cost Dallas the game?

If I were Brandon Weeden, I'd be pretty disappointed. He did everything he was asked, helped rally his team to a game tying score then had to yield to Romo at the end of regulation and in overtime. Romo obviously wasn't himself, as on that last 4th down play he seemed to give in to a natural instinct to protect himself and take a sack before he realized that it was 4th down and the game would be over if he went down.
Good game, though, and we finally got to see a competitive game in Prime Time. Most have been blow outs.

Haha; love that moniker from Gregg Easterbrook. Yes, the Redskins were getting after Romo/Weeden all night. That game should have been over in regulation when Dallas got that BS no call on the blatant hold by Tyron Smith in the end zone. Safety should have ended the game.
Dallas should have had this in hand going up against Colt McCoy. No way to know if Weeden would have won it, but, I agree, it did look like Romo was wary of getting hit when he came back in and understandably so.

Easterbrook is the best sports writer out there, always love reading his stuff. TMQB is a must read.

It's odd that Dallas beat Seattle in Seattle, Washington beat Dallas in Dallas, and Seattle beat Washington in Washington.

I love Romo's game and he is a hell of a QB. He came back from cracked ribs to beat us in 2011. Weden could have just as easily blown the game like Orton did in the 4th last yr after playing great for most of it, and Romo could have lead the game winning drive. Hindsight is 20/20.

Bad loss for the Cowboys.
This brings them back down to earth, and reopens questions about their resolve going forward.
Either way, they have a lot to prove in the playoffs provided they make it. I think they do, but you never know with this group.

I hope they don't make it, although I do hope they win this Sunday!

I think the Cards are us from last year. They just keep on going no matter who they lose to injury.
I say Arizona wins - maybe wins big in Dallas this week.

Who knows? Sounds like the same WWE stuff Jones is always spinning. "look how gritty and tough Tony is" stuff. Ultimately he isn't playing, but according to everyone asked including Jones who was in the exam, they took x-rays and they came back negative, yet there are two fractures ( admittedly tiny bones in the back) how does that happen??
