Your thread title is a bit curious. From the sounds of your post, we already do live in interesting times.

It's been a pretty wild ride the last couple of months, both on the field as well as off the field. About the only thing left that would turn things even more upside down is for the league to announce that football is returning to LA or across the pond in London.

One of the goals of the NFL is to stay in the headlines, and they've certainly done that, although not always in the manner they've envisioned. Hell, look at us all. The Mariners came within one game of finally making it to the playoffs and not a soul raised an eyebrow.

It's a reasonably famous salutation that pertains to what he had on his mind, works for me (and my dark places ...)

Ain't that the truth. I grew up in an age of Vietnam, race riots, Watergate, the Arab Oil Embargo, double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, gloom and doom everywhere you turned, yet here I stand.
