Where to tailgate and park?

Normally we park and tailgate south of Safeco. Weekday games have always been tough to find spaces. Any fellow 12's with similar issue? Suggestions?

I've been told a large group parks and tailgates down by the Mercedes dealer south of the stadium, no problems parking, and multiple people bring RV's with food and libations galore. I'm not sure how much of that is an exageration, and how much of that is true, just what I was told...

There's going to be a lot of pregame stuff going on in the SODO area prior to this one, and as you noted, it's a weekday, so it's going to be almost impossible to get a decent spot near the stadium to tailgate. If I were going to the game, I'd park somewhere close to a light rail station and hit one of the bars in Pioneer Square or SODO for my prefunction.

When we lived in Seattle, I worked in Pioneer Square. Parking is nearly impossible on weekday games. Parking near a transit station, arriving early and "tailgating" at one of the local bars is a great option for this game. Our company provided parking at the garage off of Jackson or in the North Lot of the Clink. If we parked in the Jackson lot, we had to be out by 1, the North Lot was closed to us on game days.

We have a super easy game day commute now. We take the 6am flight up, train to the Clink and be ready to meet up with some Shacker's by 9 or so. Anyone have a fav spot they'll spend Pre-game at? Sounds like there is more than normal festivities happening outside the Clink for this game. Concerts et?
