Place your bets here.

Tebow!!!!!!:)
Man its slow right now. Were speculating on the backup to the backup that is the starter....Honestly I always thought Hill could play. Hes smart and tough with a live arm. Hes won a game at the Clink before. Im not so certain the Rams might not still be the #2 team in the division this year.

Detroit was stupid to let Hill go 'cause he was their best QB at the time.

S.H. is better than Bradford so this was really an upgrade. Fisher is now happy because he can now pursue a franchise QB more to his liking.

Thought about puttin' him in the poll, yeah.

It came down to him or George.

In the end, I just couldn't bring myself to type Tebow's name.

I guess I was maybe kinda afraid that he'd sue me for trademark infringement or something.

And to rub some salt in it, all of the backups who are currently available and/ or are about to be straight-up, stone-cold suck.

I used to love watching him command that Lion offensive machine, too.

He doesn't have the same weapons in St. Lou, though. The poor guy.

Yup. Sounds pretty much spot-on to me, homeslice.

Not trashing Hill here, but he really hasn't "excelled" at any point in his career. He has some mobility, and a decent arm that is accurate ( or was maybe is a more apt term) he could turn into a aged solid player, just not in anyway convinced that St Louis has the weapons around him to "help" him accomplish the task.

St.Louis' offense didn't scare me in the least with Bradford, not going to stress Hill. The front seven is a different conversation, but the offense, doesn't seem to have the players or QB to keep up, barring an serious upgraded production from not just one guy, but the entire receiving core, just personally don't see a Jeffries or Marshall to turn Turnovers into TD's on this team.

In general its weird how so many supposedly smart people in the NFL front office go the flavor of the month/year route when it comes to QBs. Hill hasn't ever excelled because he has never been the guy. He was rotating with Alex Smith etc on a horrible 9ers team and Detroit is far from a complete team now, certainly not when he was getting the bulk of the work. That doesn't mean he will excel as a starter, just that hes getting a chance. I remember Hasslebeck being benched for Dilfer in 2000. If Dilfer hadn't gotten injured Hass may have never started another game for Seattle but he did and did very well. Mcnown is another great example but now hes the guy so we will see.

Fair enough, but the verdict is still to be decided on Mcnown and last I checked, Alshon and Brandon, nor Vincent Jackson were lining up for St. Louis. The SAME reason Bradford couldn't excell is the reason I pointed to as why I don't fret about the Rams offense, if anything, they take a step back not forward IMHO. We'll see in just a few short weeks, but I'm not at this point going to be pointing at Mcnown as a barometer for what Hill does. Hill did at least have Megatron, and some solid if not spectacular offensive weapons in Detroit, and really still didn't excel throwing the football ( unless 16 TD's and 12Int's ranks as excelling, which it may in some peoples books). He has always had a tendancy to stair down his receivers, and while that may indeed work with a Megatron sometimes, I just don't see it working well in St.Louis especially in this division.

We are talking about Josh McKown — NOT Cade McNown, right?

The main argument against Freeman is that he couldn't learn the TB offense in an entire off season. Not sure how the guy could learn a new one at this point.

Seem the best choices will have played in a Shanahan offense in the past.

As journeyman QB's go, he's not bad.

But journeyman quarterbacks are that way for a reason - they aren't good enough to sustain being a #1. Stl will get 5 or 6 W's, then it'll be back to square one next spring for their (QB) draft prospects.

He may not be the perfect choice, but his resume is probably the best that can be had at this late in the game, and if I were them, I'd at least take a flier on him and have a look see. They don't have a lot of options.

Freeman is a serious head case. I wouldn't invest a nickel in him if I was a GM. No work ethic, horrible attitude and zero leadership ability. He couldn't even make it out of bed for the team photo in Tampa. No thanks!

Josh Freeman in St. Louis would be a disaster, IMHO.

They already have enough of a circus afoot there by virtue of the Michael Sam charade.

Freeman may not be some kinda Terrell Owens-esque media drama queen, but his past does in fact tell me that he is a drama queen nonetheless.

I'm not sure either the players or poor Coach Fisher would have the resolve to deal with having two circuses (umm, circi??? I failed intermediate English — thrice) in town.
