Bronson with the Ronson

Demetrius Bronson, from Eastern Washington, is lighting a fire in the backfield.

For you chiles, Ronson was a popular brand of cigarette lighter, but didn't come close to the Zippo in sales.

Well, Bronson is both a running back and a fullback, kind of what Spencer Ware was supposed to be.

Bronson can block in the backfield and get to the second level to lead block ... and he can catch (and occasionally drop one). He is quick and has good hair.

Some of the regular camp examiners now see him ahead of Ware, Coleman, and Small.

Talk about coming out of nowhere.

Too tiny at 211 to play fullback?

Hey, Charles Bronson wasn't a big guy, but sure had the other guys terrified.

Then, again, Turbin better fire up the turbo or he might be elsewhere (but, it was only one preseason game) or Christine will dance past him.

But, then, Christine is gonna have to find some old regenerative Plymouth Fury to be Bad to The Bone.

Well hopefully he is able to open holes up for CM and MT as ML may end up coasting or end up on IR. ML aint happy, I have a bad feeling about him this year. Hope I am wrong.

Have they played him at FB? I didn't see that in the Denver game, so I'm not sure, I did see a decent burst, and a decent instinct, with Small actually being the lead back, not sure about Ware ( have never been high on him, and really have seen nothing to make me believe he even belongs in the league) but ahead of Coleman and Small at FB? Not so sure about that either...

I'm just counting the number of backs they carry, and the fact they might carry three QB's, with one of those Pryor.

It seemed to me that on at least one play in the fourth quarter (or late in the third) Coleman was split out way to the left. The play was a keeper to the right with Bronson leading into the hole to take out an OLB while Pryor continued to his right. He was filling a FB role at this point, and, a couple times, they kept him back to pass block.

We will probably still see a lot of one back sets, and it seems they might be seeing just how well a 211 pound guy can be in protection (I would guess he is up over 215 now).

With 3 QB's on the active roster, it will undoubtedly limit the backs to a grand total of four.

It hasn't shaken out, but 3 TE's, 5 WR's, and 10 OL for a total of 25 offensive players

The given Beast, Turbin, Michael and ......who? Ware isn't showing much and PC hasn't been chatting up Coleman.

Small makes more sense to me, but, I'm not going to the practices.

Turn on your coleman lantern, the small bronson battle ware's thin, but is worthy of special attention when watching on Friday.

I missed parts of the game and will go back to watch Bronson. It isn't surprising he is having success. Eastern is a dominant program in their own right with several players in the league now. I just need to do a little more research but guys like this popping up is what makes preseason exciting.

Wasn't flicking your Bic more popular than Zippo or Ronson?
