Sometimes the schemes don't fit the players natural gifts and it's been said MacDonald's Defenses are complicated so a change for him might help his career.

It's just a rumor and I don't have a source, but the word is that Riq really likes the weed. If that's true and he likes it a lot, it would explain a lot.

I'd be shocked if anyone trades for him, outside of maybe a team taking a flyer for a late round pick.

I can remember when Percy Harvin used to come to team meetings smelling of the stuff, got pulled over smoking it, was suspended in college for it, et al. I'm certainly not making accusations as it's just a random rumor I heard, but if he's smoking a lot of it, it's a problem.

Aseahawkfan wrote:[t's less damaging than alcohol. I'm sure tons of people drink in the NFL. I don't hear you talking about people that drink. Alcohol is a more toxic drug with a higher degree of impairment for overuse.
Weed use has nothing to do with play performance unless he's smoking on the sidelines. If drug use caused impaired performance, 90s Cowboys wouldn't have won a Super Bowl, much less three.
Riq's just not a great player. No point trying to introduce this 30s and 40s idea of what weed smoking does to people. That Reefer Madness film was pure rubbish. Alcohol is far worse and I bet most of the NFL drinks. Lawrence Taylor used to play on harder drugs than weed.
