49ers may be cooked. They lost Nick Bosa for the season with torn ACL. Division is wide open now.

That’s enormous. Division really is wide open. And SF definitely aren’t winning anything. Either is Arizona, IMO. I can’t believe we are actually underdogs on TNF. I’m in Oregon for a conference, so maybe I’ll finally throw some money down ON Seattle. Division comes down to Seattle and LA.

Even though it's to our benefit, I hate seeing players sustain injuries.

There aren't many defensive players that can change the course of a season by sustaining an injury, but Bosa is one of them.

Never fun to see a great player out for the season. I hate it when it happens to us. I had to post it as it affects us. Bosa is a nightmare to deal with. The 49er defense without Bosa is a different animal. He is the anchor of that defense. That line will be much weaker now.

True competitors want to beat teams at their highest strength. That's why during the Deflategate scandal I was hoping that it wouldn't prevent Tom Brady from playing against us in SB 49 even though I felt he should face disciplinary action. It opens up the beneficiary of an injury to criticism, that they really aren't that good because they beat a team that had a key player out due to injury or suspension.

Bosa arguably cost us a win against the Niners as he stuffed Charles Cross back into the pocket when we were driving for a go-ahead TD in the last minute, causing Darnold to fumble and turn the ball over.

Not to nitpick Riv, but it was Abe Lucas he drove back into Darnold on that fumble, not Charles Cross.

But your point is well taken, Bosa made a play not many can make in that situation and won the game for the 49ers. His injury is pretty big for the rest of the division. He has had alot of injuries throughout his career.

You're not nit picking at all. I appreciate the correction. I still have this picture in my mind of the right side of the pocket collapsing on Darnold, so I'm not sure why I thought it was Cross who was being manhandled by Bosa.

It sucks. I like to see great players make great plays. Winning makes me feel good, but I really enjoy seeing extraordinarily talented players play.
