If it's going to be firecracker hot in Spokane, it'll be surface of the sun hot here in the Tri Cities. The forecasted highs I'm looking at are Friday 99, Saturday and Sunday 98.
I'm picking us to win, too. The Broncos will be starting a rookie quarterback, and it's not too often that a rookie that hasn't even been on an NFL sideline during a regular season game comes right out of the gate and plays well.
Hawks 24, Broncos 14.

Hawks 27
Broncos 13
It's too bad we did not get the old clash of the throwback uniforms in this game from both sides. Hawks are going with the throwback UNI's, and would have been nostalgic to have the Broncos follow suit and give us the old AFC West rival days with their 90's throwbacks.
There is a poll out on if we should make them permanent, the classic UNI's. I am not for permanent but I much prefer them over the radioactive green we tend put out at times. Look like walking HI-Lighters out there in all vibrant green. Much prefer the throwbacks.

If they ditch the stoned seagull and go with the current logo, I'm good with making the retro unis permanent.

The throwbacks need to be the new uni. I'd prefer the more traditional hawk, but I know I'm in the extreme minority and I'd sign up for RD's preference in a heartbeat.

There are more consistent pieces returning on offensive vs defense at the skill positions for the Hawks, with almost no turnover at the WRs, RBs, and TEs(minus Dissly, add Brown). Also not a single offensive starter is a rookie. The offensive line is still the big question mark, with health and limited reps with each other. However, I think the secret weapon this year isn't going to be the revamped defense of Mike Macdonald, because we all know Macdonald is an elite defensive mind, but I think the true secret weapon is what Ryan Grubb is going to do with this veteran offense. This game against the Broncos will be our first look with all the starters at play, and I am anxious and somewhat giddy to see what Grubb can do with this offense. I think we are going to pass a lot more than most people believe. If the offense comes out strong and puts points up quick on the Broncos, it will be sooner than we think, but Grubb will become a household name in the NFL.

If the refs are as picky about where the OT's are lining up, I'm not sure if I want to be putting the ball in the air as much as you're suggesting. Our OL is going to have enough problems managing the pass rush even under the old interpretation of the rules. It will be interesting to see if they're calling it as close as they did last night in tonight's Packers-Eagles game.
I'm also not real comfortable with Geno being 'the guy.' He's not Mahomes or Jackson like we saw in last night's season opener. I'd prefer a pretty heavy dose of K9 and Charb, mix in some short passes to Lockett and JSN, take the occasional deep shot to Metcalf.

I don't think it's going to be a blowout as I think it will be relatively low scoring, below 40 points combined, but I do think we win by two scores.
And yeah, I'm excited, too.

From the first 2 games, 1 thing is true and that's even the good teams aren't running on all cylinders yet.
So we should expect some odd things to happen. If they happen to the Broncos we should win easily, but if they happen to us then it will be much tighter than we expect.
I'm interested in seeing us with most of our Offense playing a modern game. I expect the RBs to be used in the pass game as receivers much more and more screen/bubble screen plays as the Offense pressures the edges of the Defense.

This is the most excited I have been for a start of the season since the 2016-17 season which was really the end of things (lost in Divisional round that year to Atlanta, one year after losing to Carolina in Divisional round). Reality had set in by the 2017-18 season that the 'Hawks were no longer true contenders, and indeed, they missed the playoffs that year.
So interested to see how Macdonald and Grubb run the D and the O, fresh innovative ideas. Have some players I haven't seen before that I want to see how they perform (Dodson, Baker, Jenkins, Murphy II). Looking for a new attitude on Defense, get back to being physical and not letting teams run down our throat. The Seahawks red zone and 3rd down offense has been tragic the last couple years so again, excited to see what Grubb brings to those parts of the offense for play calling.
I feel good about our chances tomorrow, but it is week #1 and who knows what happens. The one concern is obviously how this O-line will perform, them having a big game tomorrow is vital to set a tone for the season.

Im very excited even though its so hot here, it doesn't really feel like football time, but yes I am excited. I keep reading on how McDonald wants other teams to not be able to figure out the D, and have to keep guessing. If nothing else this season all I ask is for a THOROUGH dismantling of the 49ers at least once, as well as the Rams, and Green Bay. I'll be happy.

Even if his leg wasn’t clipped a bit, not sure who he was throwing the ball too. Victory for the D to hold it to 3

Geno talking right at Noah Fant, right before he throws it to him. Offense off to a poor and somewhat disorganized start, hopefully they will clean it up and settle down and get the run game going

Agreed, he had two hands on it, should have brought it down. Well at least the defense is flying around and WRAPPING UP! Such a thing of beauty to see our defense swarming to the runner.

Riq got ran over, and couldn’t tackle Williams, luckily it was only for 3 yards.
One of these offenses are going to wake up, and hopefully it’s the Hawks.

Not sure if I like this up tempo offense. So much miscommunication early on, maybe roll the play clock a little longer and settle these guys down.
Hopefully Fant injury isn’t serious, looks like a hammy

Yeah, I'd like to see some Ground Chuck in these unis for a while, give our guys a chance to settle in a bit.

Seahawks are giving the Broncos every opportunity to run away with this game, fortunately for us Bo can’t nail a pass down field otherwise this would be an early blowout.
