Good list. Probably pretty close I would suspect.
I also struggle with finding a place for TE Brady, I like the way he plays and he brings some real energy but there's a lot of competition.
It's interesting that the team is so deep at WR, DB, and RB. There are going to be some good players cut or on the PS.
It has a bit of the feel of the early years of the Carroll regime.

Nice work Sis, happy to see you check in!

This a tough year for this, with a whole new coaching staff, and one without much for prior tendencies to look at. Plus the added dynamic of the new rules implemented this year. Taking that specifically into consideration the only thing I might change is keeping Dee Eskridge. He's in his contract year and has already redone his final year of his rookie contract so the cap relief letting him go would be minimal, and with the added importance of returners this year that return of his last night might have been enough to make room for him.

Hey, Sis! Nice to see you again.

One of the more interesting players will be Dee Eskridge. He had a solid game last night, which included a 79 yard punt return for a TD. Did that earn him a spot on the final 53? If so, who goes?

Good list, the only part I think would be different is the WRs corp. I don't see us keeping 7 WRs on the depth chart. I see 6 WRs, and 4 TEs. Pharoh Brown and Noah Fant, have both been sidelined with injuries.

Eskridge has been so disappointing, it’s hard for me too excited about him. We shall see. I would have said 7 WRs are too many, but with the new kickoff rules, maybe that changes things? Haven’t seen much of the TE group other than Brady, so it’s also hard not to keep him. I expect there will be a few roster changes this week also.

And hello friends. All is well w/ me and hope it is for each of you too.

I think I would cut Eskridge if the Cap allows it and keep Shenault (as Sis did) if that's the choice because Shenault is an effective down field blocker on both pass plays and on ST.
Spotrac has Eskridge's Dead Cap at $422,455 so it wouldn't be a huge addition to an already large Dead Cap charge this year.

I would think that punt return increased Eskridge's trade value. After all, he was a 2nd round pick, so we should be able to get at least a 7th rounder for him. It would be a low risk, high reward trade for another team. Maybe we can sucker the Broncos into trading for him.

As FYI, here is how it works with IR and PUP:

- now that the preseason is over, for the final cuts only, teams can have two players who are placed on IR designated for return later on in the season. I believe you have to use those designations at this point only between end of preseason and start of regular season. So which 2 players are the best candidates for this, if any? I saw Artie Burns left on a cart yesterday, so maybe a possible candidate. Hopefully nothing serious with Nwosu. I am not sure if anyone else is dinged up enough that they will place them on IR to use that spot for someone else to sneak them on and kick the decision down the road.

- players who are on the PUP list at end of cuts have to miss the first four games of the season. Current players on the Seahawks PUP list are Abe Lucas/Cam Young/Jerrick Reed II. None of them have practiced yet since TC opened, so all seem likely to remain on the PUP list and not be eligible to return until week 5. Unless one of them is closer than we think, then maybe one of those IR spots with designation to return.

Anyways, food for thought when considering your final 53.

I like your list, Agent 86. The inclusion of PUP and IR make it more realistic.

We traded for LB Trevis Gipson, I hear.

Thanks Sis. Yeah, I saw that trade this morning. My guess would be Gipson replaces Sherriff at OLB and they try to Practice Squad Sherriff. Or potentially they place Nwosu on IR with designation to return and use that spot for Gipson.

The new coaching staff brings new eyes to what they consider value. It is difficult at this time to know what they intend. McDonald seems to have the insight to put players where they function best and has had some reclaim projects that have worked well, so we may see some surprises. Players like Sheriff have an energy that is hard to define, but which could strike a chord with Mac.

Nice to hear from you, Sis, love of my life. Any interest in an 80 year old night owl?

Tom Pelissero is saying we're releasing Holani

I see that Bobo made the cut. That guy reminds me of Joe Jurevicius, one of the best blocking wide receivers we've ever had wear the blue and green, and he played just one season for us. I'm glad they kept him instead of Eskridge.

What a nice compliment, OBS. :) I am very happily married (to a hot chick, no less), but if my 30 year relationship goes belly up, I may need your digits. ;) :D
