https://seahawkswire.usatoday.com/2024/ ... tigan-dnp/ Seems like nothing serious, and maybe just some sore players after their first real contact game. However, once again we see Dee Eskridge reported with an injury, nothing serious and it's undisclosed, but goodness how fragile is Dee, and I would put money down he couldn't play an entire season?

I wouldn't put money down that Eskridge will even make the team let alone play an entire season.
We got out of our first preseason games with no major injuries. Knock on wood.

Eskridge is still on the team?

Probably not for too much longer, with Laviska Shenault looking to be the main return guy, and the way Dareke Young has stepped up I seriously don't see why they would keep wasting a roster spot for him on the 53 going forward.

Shenault has an injury plagued history as well.

Certainly not the news we want to hear considering how unproven our TE group is. Well I guess we will see more of Brady Russell.

The good news is that it's a foot injury and not a knee, so I can't imagine him not being ready for the opener. Nevertheless, it's not a good sign when they have to use a cart to take a player off the field.

A foot injury is what ended Shaun Alexander, at least effectively.

Yeah, and a toe injury ended Jack Lambert's career. But not knowing anything else, I'd much rather take my chances on a foot injury vs. a knee.

Pharaoh Brown missing significant time helps out AJ Barner, who has been non-existent so far.
Noah Fant is the #1, and Brown is the #2. Russell has been one of the highlights of this camp and pre-season, and he likely has become the #3.
They kept 4 TEs last season (Russell was a special teamer all year on the active roster). Its between Tyler Mabry and Barner for that 4th spot, if they go with 4 again.
Westover will end up on the PS, as well as either of Mabry or Barner.
I am still miffed we used a 4th rounder on a blocking TE. There were much better TE options available when we picked Barner.

I’m thinking the blocking TE was because of the doubt about Lucas’ health and if Fant got hurt the TE would become more valuable but I agree there were others that could have been drafted instead.

Pharaoh Brown is in Dallas getting his foot looked at by a specialist and is starting rehab with the hope of being ready for week 1.
I hope it works out for him but it could be real painful if he tries to play with a bruised foot or maybe worse injury and it will probably slow him down and limit his cutting ability on pass patterns.

Rayshawn Jenkins left practice with a leg injury. Not much more was reported, but hopefully not too serious because he a starter in that backfield.

I hope this isn't one of those seasons where we end up with a long IR list or lots of games missing by key players.
