Important Dates to keep in mind

Postby NorthHawk » Mon May 20, 2024 7:13 am

So we've moved along the road toward the season quite a bit already but there are still some important dates before Training Camp starts.
Here's what's left.

OTA Off Season Workouts:
May 20, 22-23, 28, 30-31, June 3-4, 6-7

Mandatory Minicamp:
June 11-13

I don't know what date our TC opens but they all open mid to late July.
It's coming up fast, folks.

I can't get too excited about OTA's, minicamp, and TC. It's even hard for me to get interested in the preseason games. The only thing of interest for me is those players coming back from an injury, like Abe Lucas and Nwosu, or those who've been fighting injuries, like Kenny Walker, if they're full participants or not.

I don't get excited about the actual events, but I do like to know when they happen as it gets the excitement going as we move towards the season.
This year I will be more interested in the pre season because I want to see some of the different roles the players are being put into. We won't see a lot of the actual play style but we will see some different looks from previous years.

Is there anyone particular player you are excited to see play this season? Again I am not assuming you are only excited to see one player, just asking if there is?

On Defense I want to see how they use Dre'Mont Jones and Byron Murphy. As well, we seem to be light at inside LB so it will be interesting to see how they address that.
On Offense, I want to see how the formations change and if the strategy will be to attack weaknesses instead of just lining up and running our plays.
So for specific players our first 2 draft picks will be players I will be checking out as well as the IOL and who's playing Center.
