From last night's box score:

Wide Receivers

DK Metcalf 9 targets, 3 catches, 32 yards, longest catch 11 yards.
Tyler Lockett 5 targets, 3 catches, 30 yards, longest catch 11 yards.
Jake Bobo 1 target, 1 catch, 6 yards.

Running Backs

Zach Charbonnet, 4 targets, 4 catches, 11 yards, longest catch 7 yards.
DJ Dallas, 1 target, 1 catch, 5 yards.

Tight Ends

Will Dissly 1 target, 1 catch, 21 yards.
Colby Parkinson 1 target, 1 catch, 9 yards.
Noah Fant 2 targets, 2 catches, 25 yards, longest catch 16 yards.

What's wrong with this picture? Or is anything wrong with it?

Need to list drops to finish the picture. Not all targets are catchable balls.

I just noticed that I left out JSH: 3 targets, 2 receptions, 41 yards, longest catch 34 yards.

I didn't see drops in the box score I was looking at (ESPN) or I might have included them. But that wasn't the point I was getting at.

My point was our targeting. We seem to be forcing the ball through our wide receivers, specifically Metcalf (who had at least one drop) and not utilizing our tight ends. It seems to be a repetitive story. We didn't have a single incompletion to our tight ends or running backs. Of Geno's 9 incompletions, 6 were thrown Metcalf's way, 2 were intended for Lockett, and 1 for JSN.

It seems to be a repetitive story, that our tight ends have virtually disappeared from our offense.

Pete's Offenses rarely throw to the TE's.

We need to use our TEs more.

You guys are asking too much of Geno here. Working off of his first read is a tall task.

I’m not going to dump on Geno for this because it’s Pete throttling down the Offense so it’s just a shadow of today’s Shanahan/Mcvay modern day Offense that we saw the first half of last year. It’s football that Pete doesn’t understand as he said in 2019 or 2020 after the Offense was opened up when the Defense was on pace for record ineptitude.
