Yet as bad as it is, it is, the Niners have managed to kick ass the past few years with other QBs. I’m still not sold on Purdy and they sure are hedging their bets on him.

Dallas just gave up a 4th to get Lance. Yes, they have Cooper Rush but Lance is only 23.

Teams must see something in Lance. After all, SF gave up a lot to move up and draft him and the Cowboys gave up a 4th to get him which apparently surprised the SF front office.
Unfortunately for Lance, he's again the 3rd string QB and won't see much of the ball in practice let alone game time.

True about Lance's perceived value. He was also highly rated going into the draft. Taking him as the 3rd QB and #3 overall wasn't considered a reach.
