I'm not impressed with Purdy at all. That 3rd down pass was thrown into heavy traffic. We get a little pressure on him, we should be able to get a turnover.

He really didn't run away with him. It looked to me like Ward was expecting him to break it off and it caused him to hesitate just enough to allow Metcalf to get a step on him. They had a blitz on so they were expecting the ball to come out quicker. Kudos to the OL keeping Geno clean by picking up the blitz.

True, but Ward couldn't gain ground on him after the catch and it was a long enough play for that to have happened but Metcalf's speed prevented it.

That penalty on Ward, next to the one in the Packers game last week, was the stupidest penalty I've seen this season. That penalty isn't committed, time runs out, and the Niners lead at the half. If we win this game by less than a FG, you can bookmark that penalty.
