Are they still playing that pseudo game? I thought that they were going to discontinue it. It's a joke.

I couldn't give two chits about the Pro Bowl. With very few exceptions, I'm all about the team.

No way Brooks is deserving. He has a huge number of tackles, but most of that is because the defense is on the field so much. And he is not a hole plugger, but a chaser, making most of his tackles after a gain has already been made. He has promise, but he lacks instincts and does not have pass coverage skills.

Agreed, voters must not be watching film on Brooks - he has a lot of tackles but that's not always a good thing for a LB. I'm not surprised about Geno, though.

The tackles stat is one of the most misleading graphics that is kept by the sport. Last season, Bobby Wagner had a huge number of tackles, but it was largely a product of our league leading negative time of possession. More opportunities, more tackles. I'm glad that you guys recognize that fact.

Y'all have a valid point about Brooks but I think you're overstating it a bit. He's certainly not as instinctive as Bobby or Lofa but he's still got good range and is a decent tackler and he's still young. I'd still rather have him than not.

I would go so far as to say he's the only decent ILB we currently have - and maybe the only decent LB in total although some of the OLB's are learning how to play in this scheme or play OLB at all.

Brooks is a load. He can’t do it all. Barton can’t get off a block .

Brooks is a decent player who is learning. But, he is not currently pro bowl level, although he could become.
