Are the Bills that good or are the Rams not that good? The NFC west might not be as dominant as we had thought they would be and there might be a new NFC west top dog.

Looked to me like the Bills are that good. Allen is a stud.

Yeah, Allen looked great. He made a couple of mistakes, but the way their defense was playing, they didn't amount to much. It's only one game, but they look like the favorites a lot of the experts pegged them as being.
On the other hand, the Rams looked horrible. Stafford was off target, they gave up 7 sacks, had no running game, and their defense was porous. The only positive for them was that Cooper Kupp is still setting the pace at WR: 13 catches in 15 targets for 128 yards and the Rams only TD.

Yeah too bad we don’t have Allen . He’s the scariest qb in the league right now .
But Staffords arm didn’t look too good . Ramsey got smoked . Donald was pretty quiet . Wags gave up a 1 on 1 rush TD to Allen . The dude is a swinging ding a ling.
Overall I think the division is down . Everyone but me thinks we’re terrible . Trey Lance is ranked in the mid 30s in the 538, Geno is 29. And Lance is reportedly upset Garropolo is still there . Az is a popcorn fart with a popcorn fart in the wind 5’2” qb with a cam Newton attitude . The Coach is a lightweight . Chandler Jones is in Vegas .
This division is ripe for the taking .

Josh Allen looks like he's on a mission to me. That Bills defense looks reborn with Von Miller rushing the passer.
I doubt the Rams are that bad and will still thrash a lot of teams, but Stafford is about as I've seen him in the past. I'm still surprised they won a Super Bowl with Stafford. He's an unathletic arm QB who gets crushed by pressure. Whereas Josh Allen is a highly athletic Ben Roethlisberger big boy QB who can do everything.
The Bills are for real and they wanted to send a message against the Rams to open the season. Message sent. They are going to be brutal this year.

The biggest head scratcher to me was how bad the Bills made Ramsey look. He is widely considered to be the best CB in the league. And Donaldson is considered to be the best defensive tackle on the league and he was totally neutralized.
The Bill's weak point is still their run game. Allen was the leading rusher at QB (again). That's not good for his long term health.

I read RW and his team were "f$*ing pissed" when Schneider went to look at Allen - I know the ESPN article said that some in the Hawks organization had issues with RW (too focused on his legacy, declining speed, etc), but it sounded like Pete wasn't one of them. Maybe JS.

Russ is a great QB, but Allen is looking ridiculous. You had to be looking at that dude just in case he fell to you. If he stays healthy, he is going to cost so much money.

And for those that thought not resigning BWags (now #45) to a new long term deal was a big mistake... hopefully you all watched the game last night. He looked another step slower and a little lost at times (along with most of the Rams D) -- in other words, he did nothing special, at all. And I won't even mention being run over by the Bill's QB for a TD.

Yep, I thought the same thing. I wasn't one of those that thought it was a mistake not to resign Bobby. That entire Rams defense looks different, something I didn't expect.

I thought cutting Bobby with no phone call was a disrespectful move. But it was obvious Bobby wasn't near the player he was and his 18 million a year had to be renegotiated down. I don't recall anyone wanting to sign Bobby to a new long-term contract. I think most thought his contract needed a downward negotiation.
As far as last night, I don't put that on Bobby. He had 8 tackles and a sack. Still a good stat line. But Josh Allen wasn't going to be denied. The Bills clowned the entire team.
On my list of concerns, Bobby's performance wouldn't even rate as a concern if I am a Ram. Stafford and the O-line would be my big concern. He was absolutely destroyed and their O-line looked terrible.

I wouldn't rate the Rams defense by this game. Josh Allen is just that damn good. The way he was playing was a man possessed. That dude wants to win a Super Bowl even if he has to ram the ball into the end zone himself sacrificing his body to do so.

Rams have serious line issues against good teams. They still have a boatload of weapons, and yeah when Ramsey is up for renewal he's out. We are a long ways from beating the Rams ourselves folks.

Geno put 10 on them in a quarter last year . That would have been 40 for the game . That’s about the last 3 full Russel games . Rams were his kryptonite last few years . We may well beat them and many other teams .

As both John and Pete said it was handled poorly. But John had also pointed out Wags was his own agent and there had been ongoing discussions so it shouldn’t have been a huge surprise . Wags has said he has no hate in his heart for Seattle and hasn’t said a negative word about his time in Seattle since leaving .
But bottom line Bobby had slipped pretty bad . National media freaking out “ they lost Russ and Bobby . They are doomed .
Everyone gets old . It’s the way of life .I wish Bobby well personally but not professionally . I despise the Rams
