Hawks' new preseason game color commentators

What did you think about Michael Robinson and Michael Bennet as color commentators during the preseason games? Did you like them? What will be their role going forward?

They seemed to have good chemistry and Bennett has a good sense of humor.

Personally, I like Ray Roberts better than either of the other two. They were okay and had good rapport but weren't as objectively critical as I would have liked sometimes. Roberts was paired with Paul Silvi. Roberts has a calmer demeanor and seemed to be knowledgeable.

Roberts is more professional and polished. He's been doing it a lot longer. I could see Bennett developing into a fun sideline reporter.

Roberts is a helluva lot better commentator than he was an offensive tackle, that's for sure.

But I do miss the local commentators. Back in the 70's and 80's, during Seahawk games, I used to turn down the volume on the TV set and turn on the radio broadcast and listen to Pete Gross and who ever it was that worked with them. They were much better than the network guys as they literally lived with the team so they knew a lot more background and didn't mis-pronounce names. Plus you got a slightly biased tilt, which is nice when it's your team that they favor.

The radio was always a split second or so ahead of the TV, but not to the point where it is unwatchable. Now, there's a huge difference even on an over-the-air signal, making it impossible to do the same thing nowadays.
