Seahawks signed ufa Ronnie Springs, RB from Fresno State. His father Ron Springs played for a few years as a RB. Ronnie set scoring records in college, and was a productive runner and receiver. He is small and slow. Combine said he was 5' 7+" but the team lists him at 5'9 and weighs 195. Ran a 4.6 forty at the combine. To me he seems like a third down back, as he is husky and had a good vertical at the combine.

Ahh, I remember Ron Springs, running back for the Cowboys via Ohio State.

His profile doesn't sound too impressive, a Darrell Sproles type, of which successful ones are few and far between. But it does make you wonder if they are pessimistic that Walker will be back anytime soon.

I apologize. Wrong name. Ronnie Rivers is correct, and his father Ron played as well. Rivers, not Springs. Arrrrgh.

Marcus Allen ran 4.6. So did Jerry Rice. It’s called football speed . Leave it to Pete and john to leave no stone unturned .
