Don’t have a link but Denver’s 2020 first rounder and Wilson’s target was arrested today on charges of tampering and domestic violence. It was described as a misdemeanor type offense but an arrest of a young guy like this isn’t a good sign for Denver . Bummer

Denver needs to go 0 and 17. That would be sweet.

It is my dream that Denver gives us the number one pick next year. Have we ever had the number one pick in a draft?

Didn't we draft Rick Mirer number one or two decades ago?

Number 2 behind Drew Bledsoe. I watched him beat the pats his rookie year where mirer looked quite good and maybe won a rookie award that year . He got hit too much in one season though and was doing the chuck and duck by year 2, locking onto his target and sailing balls that cost Brian Blades a couple years of his career . I like your attitude though Asea. That was then . This is now . Here’s hoping to a short ride in Denver .

The 92’ Hawks beat the Chiefs (?) late to win that 2nd game. It was beyond bittersweet, as we lost out on local super star Bledsoe.

You’re correct HT, Mirer did look promising his rookie year. What the hell happened after that? I was in high school so I kind of lost track of them! Seems like the next thing I knew Warren Moon was our quarterback.

But yeah, Denver is not losing the most games next year lol. They definitely will not win it all of course

On Juedy, a domestic protective law is what got him in trouble. Looks like he 'withheld' his baby's Momma's wallet and keys so she couldn't leave with his child and that's a crime in Colorado. There was no physical contact or breaking of a protective order.
I see him having no charges moving forward, but who knows in this day and age.

On a bigger note, Denver going down this year would be real nice. 7-10? Ten+ years ago we made a trade with Denver that gave them our second round pick that year for the Donkey's #1 the following year, with the idea it would probably be in the mid 20's at best. Denver rolled over that year and that trade ended up giving us Earl Thomas. I'll be rooting for their demise.

I saw Steve Raible answer that question about Mirer. In his rookie season, they 'dumbed down' the offense for Mirer, which allowed him to succeed by connecting on simple routes and reads, but in later years as they started to try to expand it and add more complexity, Mirer could never keep up with the changes. The implication was that for what ever reason, Mirer either didn't work very hard at it or wasn't very football smart.

Mirer couldn’t take NFL abuse , period . Can’t remember a single person on the line , don’t think they were very good , but in his second year he played scared and from then on . He had enough arm talent to hang around to league awhile .

Here's the link:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jerry-jeud ... -enhancer/

And some details:

Jeudy was taken into custody sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m local time, CBS Denver reports. Jeudy was held without bail per Colorado laws governing domestic violence charges, which require him to see a judge before he's released.

In a press conference Thursday, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office that at approximately 10:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched on a report from a "female party" that she had belongings that Jeudy was preventing her from accessing.

Sounds pretty trivial.

No doubt an unwanted distraction for Denver but it is early in off season and may have no effect on the season once absolved...

Unless there's more to the story than what we've seen so far, it won't affect him at all. He's being charged with a misdemeanor crime, and if the laws in CO are like they are here, anytime the cops get called out on a potential DV situation, someone goes to jail just to keep things from escalating, with charges eventually getting dropped. Reading between the lines, this would seem to be one of those types of situations.
