Two weeks ago, it was projected that the cap for 2015 could be $140 mil and jump to $150 in 2016.

Ahhh, instant inflation.

Pro Football Talk reports this morning (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... n-in-2016/) that one source tells them the cap will be $145 in 2015 and $160 in 2016.

And the problem will not be spending the money, but for GM's to get their owners to spend the money.

I doubt that will be a problem for The Schneid.

Hey Bird Droppings - long time no see.

They will have to spend something like 90% of the cap so if the owners like it or not, they will have to shell out more money.
144 million is 90% of 160 million so it's a big increase. Cincinnati owner Brown will hate that.

Sure does appear to bale out teams that are hard pressed against the cap though, like the Cowboys and Washington.

Hey, a BD sighting!

If the cap hits $160M in 2016, there will be a food fight worthy of Animal House between Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder to see who can spend the most money on an overpaid, over the hill vet. It will be like turning the grand kids loose in a Toys R Us.

I just hope they don't use the rising cost of signing players as an excuse to raise ticket prices, but you know that they will.

I guess I don't know anymore whether their blaming everything on the cap increase is legit or not. I tend to think with our successful year they are sitting fat and happy. No need for the increase. But again I don't know the details.
