Spy vs spy

When Kyler Murray was drafted it set up a fascinating matchup twice a year for what I figured would be a decade or more . Now there are questions about both . Murray is listed as a game time decision with an ankle and his wheels are a critical part of his game . Hopkins is out so double whammy . Russ has the finger , wasn’t ready last week no matter what he and PC say. But he’s got another week under his belt now so let’s see . There is a reverse HFA in this series . Amazingly with the 7th team in the WC we are not eliminated yet but they are pretty much must wins now , at least most of them . Need to start now . Each team has lost 2 of their last 3 . I have no clue . Gonna say Russ with a finger is better than Murray without mobility or maybe Colt McCoy .Russ knows there’s lots of questions about his play and I’m gonna hope he snaps out of it a little against another tough D and our D stays hot . 20-17 Hawks

I sure hope Russ snaps out of it. I am bringing both of my kids for their first game. What a weird season!

I've been to a number of Hawks games in Arizona, and close to 50% of those in attendance are Hawk fans. A friend of mine who lives in Phoenix explained it to me by saying that everybody is from somewhere else, and they bring their own allegiances with them. Lots of retirees and snow birds. When the Packers played there a few weeks ago, it sounded as if a clear majority of the fans were Cheeseheads. Although that doesn't explain the Cards success in our house, it goes a long ways to explaining our games in Arizona.

I was in Scottsdale in March for Barett Jackson and we found an Arizona Hawks bar with tons of cool
Memorabilia .

If you ever go to a Hawks game in Glendale, you'll have to go into McFadden's prior to the game. It's at least 95% Seahawk fans, all wearing Seahawk jerseys. Once when I went up to the bar to get us some more adult beverages, I saw a guy with a #21 Arizona Cardinals jersey on, and I started giving him some good natured crap about it: "Hey, man, you can't wear that in a Seahawks bar, if you want to wear that in here, you need to take it off and turn it inside out". The guy thought I was serious, and said "Oh, no! I'm from Washington, I live in Issaquah! I'm wearing this because my nephew plays for the Cardinals. His name is Budda Baker." I felt embarrassed so I bought him a beer and we talked for a good 10-15 minutes. Turns out he was a great guy and we had a good laugh about my trash talking. The only guy in the place with a Cards jersey on and he was from Washington.

Looks like we won’t see Kyler today. Our nemesis from the past, Colt McCoy, instead. LFG! No excuses this time; me & my kids need to see a win in person. I believe my record is 10-1 all time.

I wouldn't get too confident. Colt McCoy beat us last season in our house while playing for the mighty Giants. He's an experienced quarterback that has played a lot of football and still has some legs. Plus we've always had this habit of making vagabond quarterbacks look like Hall of Famers.

Giants D was the difference last year . McCoy didn’t do much . It was around the time Russ just started to decline last year .

The Cards defense is ranked 5th and is every bit as good or better than the G-men were last season.

McCoy had 105 yards vs Seattle last year with a TD and a pick . He was sacked twice . Russ threw for 250 or so with a pick and a TD. Problem was his pick was on our own 18 late in the game in a 17-12 stinker loss.

I’m aware of their Defense . Here’s the deal . We’re 3 and 6 and Russ is 2-4 as a starter . It is now time or why the hell are we paying him 30 million . Our D isn’t chopped liver and to a man they have to know they must stop Colt Freakin Mcoy in our house. But we better show some offense .
