We're only 2 game out of a wildcard spot but I kinda want the hawks to lose (as much as I hate saying that!) just so we have a better chance at getting 4th in the divion and an easier schedule next year....Thoughts?

Tanking for ease of schedule? Ridiculous!

I never root for my team to lose ever . Especially the way this team screws up first round picks . Hell no I don’t accept losing makes you better . I remember in 2010 when we were playing Sam Bradford and the Rams and we were 6-9 but the game would decide the division and a playoff game . I remember so many people on the forum and in the media saying mail it in and get an easier schedule and better draft picks . Of course Charlie Whitehurst threw a TD to BMW and we won an ugly tight game . A week later we shocked the world vs the Saints and beast mode was born . And I was there at about half price on the 50.

IS it tho? Playing teams like the jets, broncos, begals Jags, eagles and falcons is a lot easier than facing saints, packers, bills, chiefs, titans and steelers....It makes a huge difference.

That’s a false assumption too. Based on last years records everyone looked at us on the schedule and said tough draw . Year to year you don’t know . It doesn’t matter I never root for my team to lose

Never. Losing is not acceptable, and you don't want teams and players developing a mindset that there are situations where it is. Besides, the strength of schedule can vary. Take us for example. We were division champs last season but teams like the Saints and WFT, division champs that have to play first place interconference teams, caught a break by our being over rated last year and/or under performing this season. Or take a look at the Bengals. They were a last place finisher last season but one of the tougher teams this year.

I was at the game yesterday with nose bleed seats that cost me over $160/ticket back in July that were selling for $32 on StubHub the night before the game. And people want to know why I hire someone to handle my IRA for me. The stadium was no more than 70% full on an absolutely perfect day. I've gotta think that ownership is taking notice at the severe drop off in fan interest as I would imagine that it's being reflected in sales of apparel and other miscellaneous revenue sources.

A few comments about the game itself. Jacksonville is horrible. Trevor Lawrence looked like the rookie that he is. Big kid and he could easily end up like Josh Allen in a few years but he was inaccurate and indecisive yesterday. The pick he threw was horrible, under threw his intended receiver by at least 10 yards. The defense obviously had their best game of the season by far, getting good pressure on Lawrence for most of the game. Geno had an excellent day, decent protection most of the time and didn't miss a pass in his first 15 or so attempts, although most of his attempts were of the short to medium range throws. Didn't spread the ball around, Metcalf and Lockett had 18 of the 20 receptions and 19 of 22 targets. Tight ends are nearly non existent in Waldron's offense. Running game was very weak. Penny is worth just about the same amount as his last name suggests.

Glad you got a win for us. Geno threw to the open guys obviously and was extremely accurate obviously so no need to spread it around. His 14 straight to open the game was the most in the NFL this year. DKs hands seem to be getting better too. Nice seeing Lock go off. In hindsight maybe they should have let him throw a little more last couple weeks. I felt that the offensive success was in spite of Waldrons scheme. And what in the hell was that Tight end sprint draw mess that lost 5 yards on first down. Im happy for geno after 3 weeks of taking all the blame for team losses.

Jags regressed to whatever degree that's possible as I've seen significant portions of several of their games.. They had come off a win over the Dolphins and a bye. Lawrence had looked good in the win and also dueling Cincinnati to a last second loss a couple weeks earlier. But he looked bad and when he put it on guys they seemed to drop it.

I've been somewhat encouraged by our team in that they have battled, not mailed it in. That Jags team late in the game appeared to be going through the motions, especially the HC. Reading his body language its the last place on earth he wants to be.
