Just some random comments.

Fantastic 3rd quarter, but not many highlights in the other three. TJ Watt should have been the game's MVP. Defense held the Steelers to over 100 yards fewer than what we've been averaging.

Adams had some opportunities for a couple of game changing plays, dropped one sure INT then had another one hit him in the helmet. So much for being a ball hawk.

Collins ran the ball well and the OL played OK at times, but our two starting tackles got beat badly on a couple of QB sacks. Not sure what Metcalf was thinking by not getting out of bounds on the last play in regulation.

The Geno experiment gets a D for Week 1. I counted at least 3 passes that were knocked down.

Someone needs to explain to me WTF Metcalf did not step out of bounds immediately at the end of regulation. I'm getting tired of his brain farts. This team implodes we need to take a serious look at trading him, perhaps before the November deadline.

There is definitely a lack of talent in many roster spots on this Seahawks team. But I also feel there is a lack of motivation much of the time and that furious, almost successful comeback attempt in the second half of this game demonstrated the team is not playing up to potential in large parts of most games. It was like they flipped a switch after half-time. I lay a major part of the effort problem on the coaching staff. The team doesn't seem well-prepared anymore. They typically start each game slow and fail to bring their A game for a full four quarters. I think the time has come for a major overhaul in leadership.

When was the last time we played 4 Quarters? How about just 3? It seems to me it's been a few years since we've played a complete game.
Part of that may be Pete's mantra of "It's not how you start but how you finish", but it surely is in part because of poor game planning or
poor adjustments as well.

I had pledged to myself to wait a little longer before I called for a complete overhaul, but it's getting more and more difficult to give this regime the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not sure how much not having Russell in the lineup affected the outcome of last night's game, but one could argue that it was significant. Geno targeted Lockett 7 times and completed just two passes to him. Something tells me that Russell would have had a little better success.

I did see some improvement on defense, particularly in the secondary. Tre Brown might have won a starting spot for that play he made on a critical 3rd down in overtime.

We did seem to adjust pretty well in the 2nd half, at least with our running game. Alex Collins had a heck of a game.

Last night we had just one quarter, the 3rd, where we had a sustained effort on both sides of the ball.

I would think a starting QB would be worth at least 1 TD given the same circumstances.
Watching the run game come alive, I can only hope that this gives the OL confidence that they can produce on a regular basis. The Steelers DL isn't half bad against
the run, so maybe that part can get going and help out in the future.

The team has been on a downward slide for the last 5 or 6 years and we are now being exposed to how bad things have gotten. The number of years of bad trades and
poor draft picks (Last 2 years still unknown) have set us up for disappointment, and now we're experiencing it.
If this isn't corrected, we will be living the Jets and Lions experience, and I suspect it would be a disappointing ride.

This team has been slowly rotting from the inside out for about a year now and it’s clear in hindsight . When Wilson’s white hot start cooled off last mid season we won a lot of games the same way we are losing them now . Tight ugly sloppy games . The last team Seattle throttled was the jets a year ago . Our playoff game was a disaster and proved the Rams own us right now as did their win a week ago. We have now lost 6 of our last 10 home games played with fans . The saddest thing about last night is it was winnable even with this present squad including Geno. We’re making one less play this year . It’s what happens . And it’s easy to critique Geno but don’t forget our HOF guy has had the ball in his hands with a chance to ice the game and it’s been running backwards , bouncing balls off defensive linemen and missing open guys . Russ misses high and Geno misses low and down the toilet we go . It’s over . Just as the Holmgren era in Seattle ended in the snow in Green Bay in the divisional a year before his 4-12 swan song the Carroll Wilson era ended vs the Rams last year . We just didn’t know it yet either time .

Next year might be the last year we have both Metcalf and Lockett under contract. Even when DK is drawing only two defenders in coverage he is forcing single coverage elsewhere...Lockett is the perfect blend of speed/quickness and experience to give any lone defender nightmares. The Steelers had time to study relevant film on Geno's few drives from the Rams game and prepare a good pre-game plan focused on him. The first group of scripted plays from Waldron didn't confuse Pittsburg...Russel probably has more power to audible out of a play sent in ...than Geno. Ben is one of the hardest guys to sack in the NFL...his quick release and experience gave him the same advantages enjoyed by Kirk Cousins in the Viking loss.
