Don't get you hopes up y'all, but he could sure do wonders for our secondary and he's available at 4 PM today:

That would be an interesting move.
He's 32 now and has a quad injury, so I wonder what his $$ cost would be.
The Bucs seem to be thin at DB and the allure of going to a defending champion might be the deciding factor.

He's 31, as of about 2 1/2 weeks ago. But I agree he's most likely gonna wind up a Buc.

He wants a new contract as well, so it might limit the teams willing to spend on an injured DB.
I'm not sure we could afford him anyway with the contract to Adams and Diggs wanting more on top of it.
That doesn't even factor in DK in the near future who will probably get a seriously high offer and Russ coming up soon as well.

Looks like the Panthers stepped up and traded for him so they wouldn't have bid on him.

The Pats got a 2023 6th round pick for him.

Amazing if it had provided equal opportunity...what a talent cut for financial reasons. Carolina was the only team that offered being close to home...so they had the inside track. What went on behind closed doors? Who knows...but what can be gathered is we had cap space for a 1 yr deal and due to his age he might have wanted a "promise of a multi-year" due to his age...wanting job security. We have a history of spending 5th round picks to "take a flyer" on corners before...so my guess is we never had a fair opportunity to even tempt him over to the NW so Carolina satisfied Gilmore and to a lesser degree the Patriots. Upon first hearing of his imminent availability I was very intrigued...but once someone pointed out Carolina represented a home team choice...my enthusiasm died. Tre Brown offers intrigue if need help beyond Syd and DJ...
