I see the Falcons have "re-shuffled" their front office, making Ruston Webster a Senior Personnel Executive. Not sure how these guys keep their jobs....Webster was with the Seahawks as VP of Player Personnel from 2006 to 2009, some of the most dismal drafts we ever had and had a similar record during his tenure with the Buccaneers ('88-'05), as GM of the Titans and the last 5 scouting for Atlanta. Not saying all those failures are his doing, but certainly was part of it. Makes you wonder why Arthur Blank doesn't walk a different path.

Well, we did recycle Jim Mora from the Falcons, so it works both ways.

How much control did Ruskell exert? If he was the only one making the decisions and the others were just providing input, then
it's probably not that bad as Webster has a fairly large resume in different organizations. If, however Webster was providing the
direction and had a very large say in personnel then maybe it's a bad move for the Falcons.

I sure Ruskell did have a lot of input.......however, Webster was in personnel with the Bucs, Titans and Falcons during years they had lousy drafts. I have no way of knowing how good Webster is, but makes me wonder: The Falcons have acknowledged their organization is failing due in part to poor drafting. Why wouldn't you reach into an organization that's drafting well rather than promoting someone who has been heavily involved in what you've acknowledge as a failure?
