Next two games

The next two games are obviously big for us. I was hoping that we would go 3-2 over this 5 game stretch and we still have a chance but it's going to be tough. We need to get guys healthy! The Rams are coming off of a buy and have a McVay is a very good offensive mind who has had an off week to fix some of his offensive issues. He has to be licking his chops facing this Hawks defense. The Cards get the Bills before facing us. Hopefully they get smacked around a little because we have to play on Thursday night. These games aren't must win but they are if we want a shot at the #1 seed which is extra important this year. We need to somehow find a way to win these next two and not stumble against the sisters of the poor for the 4 weeks after that. If we don't figure it out on defense it probably won't matter.

No question that our season pivots on these two games. A quick glance at the standings can tell us how important they are. The loss to the Bills means that we probably have to win both, especially the rematch against the Cards, if we have our eyes on the division title. The good news is that in addition to coming off a bye, the Rams are also coming off a poorly played game vs. suddenly a very good team in the Dolphins.

After setting a franchise record by reeling off wins in our first 6 games, we've lost 2 of the last 3. Neither us or the Rams have played a tough schedule as both of us have just one win against a .500+ team.

We win the next 2 we are on cruise control for the next 4 after that before finishing with 2 divisional games. There's no reason the Hawks cant rebound and win. Last bad game by Wilson was followed by a masterpiece although Aaron Donald is a force. We need Carson in there to keep them honest and pass block. As for AZ we should have beaten them last time and I anticipate they will have some issues with that Buffalo team just like we did.. Its win or lose the division time the next 2 weeks. I should say we cant win it the next 2 weeks but we could lose it..

Chris Carson missing leaves a huge hole in this offense. It is going to be interesting to see what he wants to be paid for next year. When healthy, he is a top 5-10 RB in the league no doubt. But health has always been an issue, so how much of a discount do you get for that?

Hyde was brought in specifically for that reason, so disappointing that he got dinged up. Homer and Dallas are not what I would call "power" runners like Carson and Hyde, that element is sorely missed on short gains needed and goal to go situations.

Next 2 are definitely big games, would love to see them win both. But hey, it's the NFL, anything can happen any week, nothing really carries over from week to week (except maybe for the Jets...lol), it's a brand new opponent and brand new opportunities. But it is strange to see RW3 commit 7 turnovers in the 2 losses, not all I would put on him, but nevertheless, he has always been so good at taking care of the ball. Of course, that was during a much more conservative approach than this year's offensive game plan.

Watching the Bucs laying an egg makes you wonder if there are any teams that can challenge KC or the Steelers in the NFC.
I suppose the Saints, but they have shown warts this season, too at times.

Last year, we had the easiest schedule going into December of any contending team in the league but we ended up losing 3 of our last 4 games. Additionally, our competition, ie Rams and Cards, won't be playing Murderer's Row, either.

We really got hurt last year too, lost our very nice run game when all top 3 Cardon Penney and Procise went out. Its a grind.

And this season doesn't look any better. Plus you have to keep in mind that this team has a tendency to play down to the level of our competition.

The way this defense is giving up yards and points, Russell is going to have to play near perfect games even if we are to beat teams like the Jets and Giants.

Spot on! Except we beat the Jets and the Giants. Long term River, we are in trouble. How do we improve the worst defense in league? Draft picks we dont have, and FA is a Saturday Market. The Great Defensive genius is losing and we got him for another 5 years. Moreover, outside of Brown, we got no standouts on the OL, and outside of Dunlap, who we just got, no standouts on the DL. Moreover, how many more hits can Russ take like last Sunday? 11-29-21 Russ will be 33. He's not 25 anymore. He goes out the season is over. Sorry man, our window is done. We have to thank Pete for the SB and the return, but since, NO DL or OL picks to speak of. 34 points by Offense again, and the Russ is talking about his picks??

We signed Bo Scarbrough again to help at RB. Both he and Collins understand what Pete wants, so maybe both can help out
for the next few games although I don't see either as long term additions.

Yeah but NH if read between the lines on that it means Carson is still out, without Carson our Running is warmed over garbage.

Man we are beat up and the Rams are very healthy. This is going to be a tough one for us. We could be without our starting center, guard, and top 2 RB's on offense. Defensively we can be without our starting DE and 2 top corners. Not good. At least it looks like we will be getting Amadi back. Not a good time to be dealing with this as we have 2 division games in a 5 day period.

Bank this as a loss fellows. Aaron Donald has owned out butts, and we have 0 pass rush, Bet the Rams huge to win outright.

On the other hand we're a pretty good bounce back team, we don't often lose two in a row.

This type of game is where the Hawks sometimes surprise everyone but then poop all over themselves in the following game

Sea 35, Rams 34

We don't have the best Defense when healthy, but now have a bunch hurt or injured.
Rams 45 Seahawks 34

At this point, I don't know if it makes that big of a difference who we start on defense. How much do you lose when you replace someone that sucks with someone else that sucks?
