DK running down Baker was insane. That dude is the definition of freak of nature. Sheesh. He is ridiculous.
And another coach thinks they can just go for TDs on 4th down against our defense and pays the price. Better hope he doesn't lose by a field goal.

Tyler Lockett has as good of hands as any receiver I've ever seen along with speed and route running.

Absolutely, and RW’s deep throws are majestic. Glad I lived thru the Rick Mirer’s, Dan McGwire’s and Stan Gelbaugh’s to see this.

That chase down of Baker was as impressive of a feat as I've seen in a long time. And no kidding about not taking the points. If Russell's bomb was a couple inches off one way or another, that pass is incomplete.

KJ knew exactly what that triple stack was doing. He's really having his best year so far.

INFURIATING, and it led to a TD (of course, they should have gotten a stop somewhere, but they shouldn't have to do it twice)

They can’t stop anybody twice. Terrible call, no pass rush, and now we’re in a close game.

Defensive staff needs to be overhauled after this season. All these DBs out of position and the poor tackling has to go.

If Metcalf hadn't broken off is route there wouldn't have been an interception and DK wouldn't have had to expend all that energy chasing the guy down.

No reason we should have lost that game... too many mistakes and we could not figure out that defensive front... RW 3 Int’s. Frustrating loss.

Our luck finally caught up with us. We had several chances to put the Cards away but we let them hang around. Keep playing down to the level of our opponent and we'll get burned a fair share of those times.

Exactly this, you depend on last minute heroics every time out your going to get unlucky eventually.
Those three pics buy Russ were uncharacteristic, soft is what they looked, didn't have his usual zip on the underneath stuff.

Metcalf wasn’t involved in where the pass went that was going to Carson but Russ threw it to soft and gave time for Baker to jump it, and zip on the ball it’s a touchdown.... to many mistakes to overcome and ask a lame defense to win it, the D had their moments but overall they need to make some drastic changes, why not they have the worst D in the league statically, so make some bold changes, really can it really make things worse? I think not having Adams has been the biggest missing piece...

Not having Adams has been big, and you have to think if he played yesterday we get the win, but the biggest missing piece is the lack of acquiring a pass rush this off-season. They could have added multiple pass rushers and Adams. I have beat this drum to death but if they don't win the SB this year it will be on PC/JS for not fixing this problem in the offseason. It is rare that you have such an obvious need, players available, and the resources to get those players and you do nothing to fix the problem. The offense is SB caliber and the Defense is the worst in the league.

You're preaching to the choir. I have no idea why Pete and John sat on their hands this offseason with regards to the pass rush. They go out and sign an expensive TE to give Shotty what he wants and now everybody want to hang our DC out to dry because our brain trust wouldn't give him any tools. IMO this is the worst offseason performance out of Pete and John since they took over.

Trying to keep some perspective on the loss. Yeah, the bad calls and our own penalties sucked, but Russ and Co had two possession in OT to end it not to mention the already mentioned chance to ice the game. Could have and should have been over.
With that said, the 2013 team dropped one to Indy, Zona, and the NIners in the superbowl run. Superbowl winning teams, as y'all know, are rarely undefeated. The flags are up, and I agree with River that Lady Luck finally didn't side with us (though she tried multiple times). The next 4 weeks are still critical, so let's see if they can put it together.

Without a doubt, especially when considering the fact that they had almost 60 million to spend. It's really head-scratching. They could write a book on how to waste 60 million dollars in free agency. Of that money that they spent the only guys that play more than 50% of their available snaps (this is percent of the offensive or defensive snaps) is Mike Iupati (2.5 million), Jarren Reed (9.35 million), and Benson Mayowa (2.5 million). Basically they spent 14 million on guys who are playing more than half the game and 35 million on guys who playing half the game or less (that doesn't include Irvin who would be playing most of the game and draft picks.). They easily could have gotten two or more pass rushers. Look at what the Ravens have done! Calias Campbell (10 million + 5th rounder) Matt Judon (16 mil) Ngakoue (6 mil + 3rd and 6th)... That's 31 million and 12 sacks, granted they didn't trade for Ngakoue until last week. They actually signed or traded for 6 DL/DE/Pass Rushers. They saw a need and filled it. There were other options available as well. I'm not saying they would have all panned out but the frustration is that they really didn't even try. The biggest kick in the balls was the Ngakoue trade last week, I know it would have been hard to give up a 2nd for him to start the season, even though it was pretty clear to most people that the pass rush was still going to be crappy, but not getting him last week, knowing how bad the pass rush is was inexcusable.

IM hoping they trade for Kerrigan, and either Dunlap,Griffen, or some other decent edge rusher

Yeah, they need a couple of guys, but realistically they might not even get one. Dunlap is going to be overvalued by Mike Brown who never trades away his players because he overvalues them. Jerry Jones has already said he thinks his team will be buyers at the trade deadline, not sellers so Griffen is a long shot. Kerrigan makes the most sense for both sides, but Washington is right in the thick of their division as well, although they have to be looking at their team realizing they need to build for the future and not a token playoff appearance this year. I hate to keep going back to this but it is just so frustrating. Our FO screwed up all offseason by not adding a pass rusher yet were still gifted with an opportunity to bring in a stud, probably for a second rounder and they didn't pull the trigger. Our FO gets a big fat F for this and realistically they wasted a year that we should be in the Super Bowl. I hope I'm wrong but the odds of a team with the worst defense in the league making it to the Super Bowl, in our division, is a long shot even with RW playing well.

Not having Jamal Adams available is not helping our pass rush or our defense as a whole. I lost count on the number of times one of our O linemen or backers got a hand on Kyler Murray but he spun away or broke loose. He's an eel and stronger than you would think. Chasing a guy like that around all game takes the wind out of the defense's sails. That commercial Murray does with Tim Teboe about anticipation is pretty accurate when it comes to him alluding defenders.

Ya they screwed the pooch this off season, along with the draft picks haven’t done any good the last three or so years, on the Dline
