Seahawks Prediction

I wagered that the Seahawks would win the NFC West back in July, & it is looking good so far. Arizona is a phoenix rising, (sorry about the pun), & they'll be strong. SF is SF, 'nuff said, & the Rams are always tough. The NFC West is the strongest division in football & will be represented in Super Bowl LV in 2021 in my humble opinion. In seasons past we've had to squeak our way into the postseason, but not this season. I think we'll lock up the NFC West title & make it to the big show. I know that these are bold predictions, but I needed to post them now so that they're legitimate. Thoughts? Ideas? Critiques?

The NFC West looks very strong, arguably the toughest division in the league. Ironically the team that's the weak link is the defending NFC champ Niners as they are the only ones that have lost and have suffered a number of injuries. The Rams have looked really good, and many are making the observation that they look like they did two years ago.

Russell Wilson has played the best two consecutive games a Seahawk quarterback has ever played in franchise history and is playing the best football of his life, yet it almost wasn't good enough last Sunday night as it took a big play on defense to stuff Cam Newton at the 2 yard line on the final play of the game. That's how bad our defense has been. After two games, we are dead last in the league in total yards. I can't see us going very far on just Russell's play alone. Someone on defensive line is going to have to rise to the occasion, perhaps LJ Collier. The only time we seem to get any pass pressure is when we blitz.

I haven't seen Arizona play yet, so I'm reluctant to pick a team that I haven't watched, so I'll go with the Rams.

So far, it looks like the year of the offense in the NFL. Not any standout defenses so far except for the Ravens, maybe, but they haven't played anybody yet with a potent offense.

I am with you, Ravens, they have no holes, even in the salary cap era.

That's going to change real quickly as they play the Chiefs on MNF.

I haven't seen the Packers play yet, but they look good on paper and in the highlights. The Bills could be a sleeper in the AFC.

I generally don't like to handicap teams until at least after Week 4, and this season, with no preseason games and such a limited camp, it's even more difficult.
