Not Chuck Knox, Mike Holmgren, or Pete Carroll. The first Seahawks HC to be voted into the HOF is likely to be Tom Flores.

Without looking it up, Flores has to have the worst W/L record in our franchise, with the possible exception of our expansion HC Jack Patera.

I don't know that any of those coaches are worthy of HOF status except possibly Pete if by some chance he can add a couple more SBs before retirement. To my way of thinking, a HOF head coach needs to have a long tenure with one team and success at the level of multiple "won it all" trophies or alternatively, have several won it all trophies with multiple teams. Most NFL coaches move around too much. Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry and Bill B. would meet my criteria but in the modern era, maybe only Bill B.

There is no question both Pete and Mike will get their gold jackets.

The only reasonS I want him in the HOF are selfish. He grew up > 30 minutes from where I grew up. Both small farm towns outside of Fresno, CA. Some of you may remember the story I told years ago when I golfed in a tournament w/ him. If he gets in... I’ll retell them and give away my Flores signed hawks hat (& the stories that go with it).

Hey, Sis! It's great to see you again! Everyone in this place absolutely adores you and I wish you'd poke your head in here more often and liven it up.

I'm not sure if Flores gets in or not. He does have two Lombardi's to his credit but a lot of people view him as nothing but a yes man to Al Davis, a perception that was reinforced by his dismal performance as our HC.

As far as our other HC's go, I don't think either one of them is a slam dunk. Voters tend to look at Lombardi's, and Pete and The Walrus have just one. Dick Vermeil has a longer resume, coached in 4 decades and like Flores, is up for the HOF but with just one Lombardi. Bill Cowher coached the same team for 15 years, took his teams to the playoffs in 10 of those, and has a regular season winning percentage of .623 (Pete's is .599, Holmgren .592) but with just one Lombardi. Jimmy Johnson inherited a 1-15 team and took them to two straight Lombardi's but he's not in yet. Tom Coughlin has two, and there isn't too much talk about him getting in. IMO that leaves Holmgren out and forces Pete to win one more.

I’m with Obiken. Al Davis was pretty active back then and players called him Coach. So I always wondered how good Flores was. He certainly never showed much with Seattle on the field or off. His pressers were horrible, never had an answer for anything.

He took Knox’s 7-9 team and promptly went 2-14, in part because he decided to dump Dave Krieg and go with Stan Gelbaugh (really??). The worst offense in Seahawk History and most inept in the NFL during 1990’s. Thru week 12 the offense had more punts than total points.
