I think it’s unique and fitting. It’s krak, anyway. Seriously ok and even stoked for the name. Now I need to get into hockey!

If you want to get into the game, get good seats and see a game live. It's a different experience than TV.

It's unique, but not very fitting. The Kraken myth has its roots in the Scandinavian countries. If they wanted a mythical object as their mascot, the Sasquatch would have been better suited for this region.

I also don't like the location of their arena. That area is a mess to get to, parking is horrible, and the homeless problem is ever present. If they couldn't get an arena built with Chris Hansen in the SODO area, I would have rather them have gone out to the suburbs.

But we'll see. I'd love to see them develop a Red Sox-Yankees type of rivalry with Vancouver.
