I saw this on Facebook a few minutes ago:

No rap whatsoever on Russell as I'm sure that his teammates appreciate the generosity, but I did the math and came up with this:

$12K/35M=.000343. If you take a person earning $75k per year and times that amount by .000343, you come up with $25.73, or about the price of a couple of craft beers at the Clink.

Sort of wakes you up to the income gap between highly paid professional athletes and their fans, doesn't it?

My first thought was why Amazon stock as Microsoft stock would have more symmetry
considering Paul Allen's history. Maybe his advisors think Amazon has a higher upside.

Outside of being a stockholder, Paul Allen hadn't been associated with Microsoft for decades.

Supposedly the 'new' Amazon companies are in the cannabis industry. Think of the graphic of Russell giving his linemen stock in a legalized weed business.

Yah, but Allen was one of the co-founders of MS.

Russell and cannabis, now that's two opposites, isn't it?

Like Peanut Butter and Chocolate. (if you are younger than 45, this may not make sense to you)
