Until Australia, Jamaica and Great Britain get their NFL franchises I'm cool.
Think globally...drink locally!
So now Scotland is local?
Now I do drink local whiskey; Wild Turkey in brewed practically next door. Beer not so much ... (although Colorado did have some tasty micro-brews).
Kinda the opposite of you eh?, with your local beer and Scotch whiskey?
I don't drink whiskey often, but when I do, it's usually Crown Royal, which is admittedly not local, unless local is to include the North American continent. I never touch Scotch. Tastes too much like iodine to me. I do admit to drinking California wines as they are quite a bit cheaper than Washington wines and I've acquired a taste for them, but not for big events like football games. Quality trumps price for special events. My beer drinking is exclusively in state unless none are available.
I did take great pleasure in drinking some California wine as part of a toast immediately after the NFCCG on the premise of
"to the victors go the spoils."
Yesterday I bought some Fremont IPA, brewed in Seattle, as it comes in a can and less likely to damage my 16 oz tumbler that's making the trip to Walla Walla with me for our SB party. So starting at about 3:15 pm this afternoon, I'll be drinking a Washington beer out of a Seahawks tumbler while wearing my #12 Nike game jersey and white Seahawks cap, as shown in my avatar. You can't be anymore supportive than that!
