Stringfellow

I didn’t realize the Hawks signed Stringfellow. He did a pretty heinous act on the best night of Seattle sports history. Also assaulted a female, knocked her out. Not sure why we are overlooking this now.

But that said, dude looks like a physical freak so hopefully he can put it together. Maybe he’s “reformed”, or maybe it was somehow a misunderstanding hitting the girl.

before being suspended from the team (UW) and ultimately transferring to Ole Miss following his involvement in a pair of altercations with Seahawks fans on the night the Seahawks beat Denver in the Super Bowl in 2014. In one of the altercations, Stringfellow later admitted to “intentionally touching” a female who was taking pictures of a celebration, rendering her briefly unconscious.

Stringfellow was charged with three misdemeanors and ultimately pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree assault and another of third-degree mischief. Stringfellow was accompanied that night by then-UW quarterback Cyler Miles, a Denver native (Miles was not charged in connection with the incidents). Stringfellow was sentenced to five days on a work crew and fined $693 and that incident also led to him being barred from attending the NFL Combine in 2017.

Thanks, c-bob.

Some of these crimes read so strange. "intentionally touching" rendering her briefly unconscious? Is that the nice, PC way of saying he knocked her out? What the heck. Why did we sign this guy if he knocked some woman out. I hope he's straight now.

I'm not familiar with the details of the incident, but if he "knocked her out" via an intentional blow to the head, I would think that he would have been charged with something more than a misdemeanor crime of 4th degree assault unless it was part of a plea bargain.

I'm also not necessarily advocating the signing. It's the first I've heard of it and I have no opinion one way or another, at least not yet.

You're welcome RD.
Guess he had a disorderly conduct issue at Ole Miss too after leaving UW.
Hoping he has just sown some young wild oats and has matured a bit.
Has the upside.
