If its more Zach miller than Jimmy G its still a guy with great hands. I haven't seen much footage of Dissly but I remember Wilson throwing lobs out for Miller to one hand and saying Miller had the best hands he'd ever seen. And he blocked like a mack truck. Maybe this isn't so bad.

Brian Schottenheimer needs blocking TEs for his running game to work, and Dissly is the best of the bunch. I don't know how you can be a Hawks fan and not be stoked about this pick! After seeing the running game last year, Dissly plus the RB with the best yards after contact in FBS are welcome sights. I would have liked to see them draft a OG, but otherwise they addressed 2 of the 3 biggest holes in the running game.

I really would have like to see us pick up Jaylen Samuels who played TE as well as H-Back, WR, RB, and Lead Blocker.
He could have really helped in a lot of places and maybe saved a roster spot with his versatility along with giving Schottenheimer more options from the TE position.
We didn't get a pass catching TE after losing both Willson and Graham and I think that's one thing that went missing in this draft.

I like the pick, too. One writer described Dissly as a tackle disguised as a tight end. He has great hands and reminds me a lot of Zach Miller. With Schott's offense highlighting tight ends and a a renewed emphasis on the running game, this guy has a chance to contribute immediately.

They now have 3 blocking TE's on the roster with Vannett and Dickson.
This should fit with Schott's MO and help the run game with any of them on the field.
Maybe next year they can get a pass catching TE to add to the mix.
Could Swoopes be that guy? I don't know much about him.

might we see some 2TE sets this year???
