Rub me the wrong way.

These Bronco's wr pick plays that they are calling "rubs" are as egregious violations of the rules as any coverage tactic employed by the LOB. I am curious to see how the Hawks thwart/react to getting rubbed.

Yeah, it's bizarre- there have been 2.6 million articles written on our defense's "BORDARLYNE ILLLLEGAL" play, and there is constant hand-wringing about whether the refs will "allow us to get away with it" on Sunday, but aren't pick plays illegal, too, and Denver is just very clever about also treading that line?

What psses me off most, I think, is that the first DPI flag they throw is going to make my blood boil whether it's deserved or not because it's going to feel like it was only called because every announcer on every network started calling for the flag about halfway through Sherman's rant 2 weeks ago.

I just hope that as long as it doesn't result in a long catch and run, that the first time they run a pick play (especially if it's Welker running the pick) they just give up the yards on that catch and blow up the receiver setting the pick. Send a message.

pick plays can be dangerous, being man-handled at the line of scrimmage not so much.

My guess is they put them on their backs. LOB ain't gonna play like that yo. Guarantee that Quinn will put his D on high alert when it comes to the pick plays. I'm hoping Kam pounds Welker again on a slant play and puts him out of the game. With Welkers two concussions this season he will be vulnerable to
a Legal hard hit. I know I keep saying it but if the Hawks disrupt the Broncos WR's at the line, the pick plays won't have a chance to transpire. I just don't see the Broncos getting away with it in this game.

I have seen them called for OPI as well.
Will be interesting to see how the zebras call these obvious OPI's. My guess if within 5 yards, the Seahawks will enjoy it.

Because the head of the officiating crew in XL has openly admitted that we were the victims of a poorly called game, the focus on this crew is going to be more intense than any crew ever to have worked a game. It would be one thing if they'd been calling things close during the playoffs then continued the trend in the SB, but they've clearly set a precedent that they are going to let the players play and only call flagrant fouls, so I don't see how they could justify going after guys like Sherman. If I'm Sherman and I get flagged for a ticky tacky DPI, I'd keep on doing what I'm doing and force them to call it two or three times in a row. You know damn well that they don't have the balls to call it close for the entire game.
