Washington DB got hurt in the last drill of the Washington Pro day.
If it's serious, he might fall to a late round and one less DB for us as an option in the draft.
Hope he had insurance.

Damn, hurt in a simple workout. He left UW early, too.

The latest I heard is it's his Achilles that's injured.
I don't know how badly.
It will hurt his draft position so maybe he might be available to us now if they want to wait a year for it to heal.

Does he have an option to have his NCAA eligibility restored? I would think that so long he doesn't sign a contract that he could still return to college.

I think as soon as they sign an agent and/or declare there is no return.

That sucks. They do have an appeal process, though, don't they? I would think that a major injury a couple of months after they declared would qualify as an exception. He might be money ahead to go back to college, rehab his leg, then re-enter the draft a year or two later.

My understanding is it's pretty cut and dried, you declare and don't rescind it before the final date, you lose any eligibility remaining.
