Can the Hawks Flip the switch to On for Offensive Execution? I think they will against the weakest playoff team in the NFC. Go Hawks!

A completely un-inspiring first quarter performance by the offense again....

Wow - what a TD catch by Richardson - Bailed out the stupid 3rd and 4th down play selection by the coaching staff.
If they had intended to be in 4 down territory then it was absolutely stupid to call a pass play on 3rd and 1 at the end zone.

Richardson - 2 for 2 in great catches.

Obviously I was WRONG about Rawls, but boy howdy, right about run, run, run the ball and then run it again.
Now we need Wilson to stop airmailing and under throwing receivers 7 yards down the field, and we'll roll.

Yep - Wilson has been under-perfroming the first half. That under throw to Tyler Mclevie cost us a touchdown and a 14-3 lead. I will take the 10-3 lead but it is against the worst playoff team in the NFC.

Yea, we're seeing the good Rawls. We bring him with us we could go all the way.
Bobby Wagner's tackle on that screen pass was emblematic of his style. That wasn't something that will make a highlight film, but it kept the Lions from gaining a first down.
And what's up with Paul Richardson?

I think that they are making too much out of the no call of the face mask on the Richardson TD. He was being mauled in a very flagrant pass interference where the defender has his back and head completely turned away from the ball and Richardson was trying to fight through the Mauling.
All a referee will see is that type of overwhelming penalty is the pass interference. Its kinda like a defensive player grabbing an offensive lineman, picking him off the ground and pile driving his head - the referee will not call a holding penalty on the offensive lineman for grabbing a hold of the defensive lineman jersey as his head was being piled drived straight into the ground.......

Russell's play has cost us 7 points perhaps ? 4 on the gross under throw to Tyler M. near the first half and 3 with the utterly stupid holding on to the ball for 4-5 seconds and taking the sack that took us out off field goal range.

It's a damn good thing Rawls came to play. But Wilson needs to turn this around. He's done it before, and I think he'll do it again tonight.

Faint has been little more than a worn out speed bump in pass protection. Rawls looks like the 2015 version. Bevell is same as it ever was.

Why the FFFFFF are you throwing to Kearse?! Bevell, is that really the best play you have to feature Graham?!

Between all the stupid penalties by Detroit and all of the wide open drops of the balls by the Lion's receivers it is amazing that they are only down 13-6 now.

I didn't write faint on purpose as I respect that he has progresses to be where he is at today. But his inexperience has a lot to do with out lack of offense.

Doug Baldwin has had great hands and feet since game 1 season 1. Second best Seahawk receiver of all time?

Touchdown Rawls! - Nice drive - nice finish - road to Atlanta is much more probable now.

Haushka has no confidence at all - his earlier field goal was low and did not clear the lions defense hands by much - as I said in the thread last game - maybe we should just go for 2 after each TD?

Hawks definitely need to bring someone in to challenge Haushka in the offseason as much as I hate to say it

F@CL+K Bevell what are you doing calling a passing play on that 1st down?

I don't care that that was a touchdown - it was stupid play calling that introduced unnecessary risk to a situation that was 99% sewed up with 2 more clock killing run plays and a chip shot field goal.
And it looked to me that the first down run was actually a design to flip the ball back to wilson as collins spun around and started to pitch back to Wilson who was covered by defensive lineman so instead ran it - DUMB DUMB play calling. In Blackjack you can take a hit on 18 and get a 2 when the dealer shows a 6 up card but it is still a stupid decision even though it "Worked" this time.

Asked the same thing literally seconds before he limped off.

Whew. I thought he was holding his back and was worried it was a muscle injury back there.
