If we beat 9ers and saints beat falcons we get the 2 seed? Or is there more to it (like can GB get it somehow despite us an saints winning week 17)?

Yep, that's it....also we get #2 if we win and Atlanta ties.
'Hawks are currently the #3, so a win ensures that spot no matter who wins the Packers/Lions game.
If we lose, pretty sure we are guaranteed the #4 seed.

Lockett's injury overshadowed the loss a bit but, yea, we need help.
I'm not sure what to think at this point. Lots of the same issues keep creeping up, and against teams that we should be able to beat. Divisional games in particular have been disappointing, and the road record is a noticeable step backwards compared to season's past.
I'm really hoping our team can rally. The injuries have had a big impact, as they usually do, and our secondary has that much more pressure on them, to say nothing about the dismal 1st have for our OL on Saturday. Other teams have issues as well, so we're not along there, but we Really need to get things dialed in better.
Bevell and Richard have their work cut out for them scheme wise moving forward.

I think I'd rather be the 4 seed than the 3 seed. If I am right a 4 seed would likely mean hosting the Giants and then at Dallas. That seems better than facing GB and Falcons. Hopefully we get some help from the Saints and don't have to worry about the first week and get a home game in the second week.

Game's in Atlanta, so it'll be tough. Saints are prideful, though, and anything can happen in a divisional game, as we all know:).

A 3 seed gives us a better chance of hosting the NFCC, and this season, despite the way the Cowboys have looked, the NFC is wide open.
As it stands now, the 6th seeded Packers would play the 4th seeded Giants with the winner playing the Cowboys, and IMO both of those teams have the capability of beating the 'Pukes on their turf. If us and the Falcons both win this Sunday, we would get the Lions at home and if we win there, would go on to play on the road at Atlanta. I'd rather go up against the Falcons than I would Dallas mainly because I don't think we match up as well with them, particularly in stopping the Cowboy running attack. I'm reminded of the Buffalo game, where a mobile QB named Tyrod Taylor and an athletic RB named Shady McCoy gave us fits.

So you're assuming GB wins the division RD?
I'm kind of thinking Detroit finds just enough fourth quarter magic to beat them at home... Call it Karma for the blown hail Mary game last season...
Crazy thing is, GB can still somehow miss the post season which is loco.

I was going off an "if the season were to end today" bracket, which has GB as the NFCN winner.
Both the Lions and the Packers could miss the postseason.

Rd that is incorrect about the pack and lions . They play next weekend winner takes division. Loser could be out depending

I meant that either the Packers or the Lions could miss the playoffs. Redskins and Bucs are still alive.

Well, some things we know.
Seahawks lose this weekend, and it will be the #4 seed and hosting the Giants and then most likely going on the road to Dallas if we win in the Wild Card round.
Win this weekend, and we will either get the #2 seed and a bye(if Atlanta loses) and host the Falcons or Packers/Lions in the Divisional Round, or go in as the #3 seed and host either the Redskins(if they win), or the loser of the Packers/Lions game (If the Redskins lose) and then on the road to Atlanta.
One way looks a little easier than the other, and it involves the Seahawks winning this weekend. Lose this weekend, and we limp into the playoffs and get a much tougher road.

No road in this years NFC is easy. Obviously a bye would be ideal but any team in the prospective field is a quality to formidable team including Seattle.
The lights aren't too bright for Dallas this year, they don't have the Romo voodoo hex.The dynamic duo is legit. They have to be the odds on favorite.
After that pick your poison. Atlanta and its 31 PPG? GB hottest QB in the league? Detroit with 8 4th quarter comebacks and one extremely motivated mr Golden Tate?
Kirk Cousins and the Skins rewriting the redskins passing records?
How about NY and ODBJ?Heck its a pipe dream for them to make it but Seattle didn't exactly handle Tampa either.
There's no free lunch this year. Its an amazingly quality NFC field.
