Uuuuugggggggly
Note: I wonder if anyone has tested what bright green uniforms will look like against green field turf....the Seahawks may have an advantage being INVISIBLE except for their helmets floating in the air...

I've heard that there's a lot of complaints from people that are legitimately color blind to the color rush games.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... -rush-gamePerhaps they'll unite and force the ever sensitive, politically correct NFL to come to their senses and end this madness. I personally won't watch it unless it involves the Seahawks.

Yes:

FTR, I kinda like them. But then I also kinda liked the green jerseys back in 2009(?) so you know what kind of taste I have...

Yeah, many will have a fit about how 'ugly' they are (including some here), but if you're looking to do something radical/hip/whatever as this "color crush" push is meant to do, they're a hell of a lot better than the dull all black or all white unis, and a good deal better than the yellow and red ones I see for other teams.
I'd have preferred a more radical version of our Blue Man Group unis, but since that didn't happen, this seems next best.

Thanks for the example, burrrton. However, our green color is MUCH uglier, though.

I agree. Our color green works as an accent but is hideous as a primary color.

I'll be wishing I was color blind when they wear these dreaded things.

If they could go with the blue color for pants it would help.

Who in the world tunes into an NFL game to see hip/radical or different uniforms? That's what arena ball and minor league baseball is for....
( and I suppose the Jaguar's)

The Thursday night game ratings came in below expectations, so this is one way the league is trying to boost viewership. Personally I think they ought to have strippers as part of the sideline shots if their goal was to boost viewership.

It's not about ratings, it's about merchandise sales to young people. Same as the shirts in basketball.
Personally, I still wish we would have stayed with the silver helmets and the original, more authentic Seahawk logo, but I guess that's why I'm not in advertising.

LOL! Me, too, Oly, except that I hated that stoned seagull. The current emblem is far better.

I love the Jets' Color Rush uniforms, aka their normal uniforms.

What's Seattle's obsession with radioactive snot green?
That color might be good for minor league teams, but it detracts from the focus of the game.
Just stick with the grey jerseys.

I don't think they are ugly at all. It's not the same color as the 2009 game against the Bears... At least it seems different. The problem that day was the whole thing didn't match. I think it's fun! I wouldn't want those unis all the time, but I think it's a fun gimmick.

I just want them to FINALLY wear their throwbacks...I miss the 80's era jerseys, (the home ones especially, the away ones weren't as great actually), which were then and always will be the single coolest uni's of all time.

Except for the stoned seagull. That was almost as silly of an emblem for a football team as Tampa Bay's winking pirate.

"Stoned seagull"? That's what you saw? I saw a totem pole. Didn't like the switch to modernize it either, kinda lost it's regional integrity.
Of course, I liked Tampa Bay's Errol Flynn pirate too, it was much less silly than that gaudy banner (no pirate flag ever looked like that) they use now. Their color scheme was their problem.
To each their own eh?

I did like the more authentic totem pole logo too. But I do like this iteration of our uniforms the best. I really like wolf greys. I wouldn't be opposed to a throwback day at all, but really.... It's whatever the players feel the best in.
I think Tampa should change their logo to the pirate from Captain Phillips.

When we had the totem pole Hawk, it made the Seahawks the only professional sports team to honor Native Americans properly, IMO. It was based on an actual mask (Sista, btw, I love the avatar!) and stayed true to the local indigenous tribes. Now, it feels like just another NFL logo, which are starting to all look stylized in the exact same way. I liked the variety in the teams of yesteryear, which didn't seem like they were all trying to follow the same template.

Always wondered why Tampa didn't work something out with Captain Morgan's rum... The original Pirate was certainly no less ridiculous than a pirate with a leg in the air.. Advertising opportunity missed..

I've heard River refer to the Stoned Seagull logo before. I think its hilarious. That said, I would absolutely love to see a game in throwback unis from '76

Sorry, Cbob. I'm from eastern Washington, so totem poles aren't in my genes. That emblem looked like it should have been on the cover of a Cheech and Chong album. The best thing they did to our scheme was to get that brain dead, dilated eyeball, rat-with-wings seagull off our helmets. It was no coincidence that we started winning shortly after we finally came to our senses and designed a little more serious looking logo.
The winking pirate of Tampa Bay's was silly. You and I have both played football, so please tell me how many football players that you ever saw wink much less wink with a knife in their teeth.

Maybe he wasn't winking. Maybe he got traded from Oakland & lost his eye patch.
