Yeah, I find this a strange cut and the only thing I can think of is that Collins is a draft choice, Pope, not so much.
Collins is a good back in a one set backfield, where he has a chance to gain acceleration. His initial burst is so slow that in a read zone situation, he's going to get killed.
It boggles my mind that Pope was cut.

Here's one person's take on it.Makes sense on paper, but what we saw on the field seemed to point to Pope making the 53.
