Im concerned

I know last night was just a preseason game but I haven't seen much cohesiveness from the first team offense all preseason other than a couple of good quarters vs Dallas. All the pieces seem to be in place except the line which is a constant refrain. But I've been having an old Knox quote run through my head. "potential will get you beat".

One week from Sunday I will be at the Clink with my wife and my two sons one of whom will be 21 a couple of days earlier. I don't have the kind of jack I spent on this.

Its always worth it but help me out fans. How happy are we going to be at 4:00 PM on 9-11?
Thoughts on Miami? How do you see the game? I see them as sort of a mystery but they have some nice pieces. I've just been on edge really since I saw the schedule. Either way its on like donkey Kong
GO HAWKS!!!!

The Dline looks nasty, but Miami is a below average squad that has to travel over 3000 miles to play in the NFL's loudest stadium. Final score Sea 20- Miami 10

I agree the team has some rough spots to smooth but all in all, I see it coming together. As for the regular season opener, it's a cake walk by stats. There is something definitely wrong if we lose that game. Miami has been hamstrung for quite some time. All I know is I BELIEVE and always will. Remember, the first four letters in analyze points to a certain part of the human anatomy and we shouldn't be so much of that....In pre-season, I say let's make all those stupid mistakes and have those ridiculous penalties. Get that out of our system and let's play good, clean, well executed games from here on out.

Hi Everyone ~ I hope you enjoyed an awesome summer!
----
I definitely feel your concern with the O-line, particularly our Tackles! Most of what I've read says we're super stout on the interior of the Oline ~ nothing like SUH coming to town as the first test! If we can handle our business upfront next week, I think a lot of fears will be calmed.

I'm a little nervous for Rawls, although he looks fresh and free from any ankle concerns last night.

Our Defense appears to be as as solid, and perhaps better than we've ever had in the PC / JS era. I'm super excited to see what they can do.

My prediction - Hawks win 17 - 3.

Yah, the Tackles are a concern. I was disappointed in how the first team OL played last night. I hope it was just not enough reps in the game to get rolling, but like you said, we will see.
If Cameron Wake is fully healthy he will test our Tackles early so they better be ready.

Suh and Wake are my main concern. Offensively Gase is supposedly a QB whisperer and has seen the LOB every year for the last 3. its a long time ago and a coaching change from Dan Campbell but the last game Miami played was a dismantling of the Pats in Foxboro that cost them HFA.

The boys better be ready.

I know it was the 4th preseason game...hardly an event to fret about. BUT, our starters looked like ISH against their #2s. W/ no game planning and real motivation other than staying healthy, I won't push the panic button just yet. I was just hoping to ride some good mojo into next week.

I'm certain that Pete and the 53 feel that mojo anyway. Here's to 2016. Go HAWKS

Burry you look like a Cali surfer guy!!

For me its real simple, either our OL will get in the way of defenders, or they wont. How much and or how little will define our season, period. Everywhere else we are solid. So the great experiment of doing the OL on the cheap begins a week from Sunday.

Agreed. I'm really worried about our bookends. It's the weakest we've been in a long, long time.

We need to start out strong this season. Our schedule is back loaded so we can't afford a slow start like last year. We don't have a playoff team until Week 7, so it's important that we take advantage of that and run off 4-5 wins before we get to teams like the Cards, Pats (with Brady), Packers, and Panthers if we have any hope of securing HFA. We can't wait for the offensive line to "gel", as we were so often told last year.
