Aikman Effeciency Ratings

For those of you who are into statistics and such here is a link to Troy Aikman's ratings for NFL teams.
Even for those not really into stats his discussion is interesting.

Team efficiency rankings. What will they think of next. The quest for more stats to quantify the game is never ending.

For what it's worth, I think Aikman's rating system puts the standard system used, based on yardage, to shame!

It's certainly interesting, to be sure.

Thanks for posting it for us, NorthHawk.

I'm just not sure it tells me a whole lot more than the game profile in the Sunday sports section of the paper which lists the teams' offensive and defensive rankings.

That is a good system for evaluation. Interesting footnote, the entire NFC West is in the top 10 defensive efficiency rating.

Good stuff NH thanks! Denver number one on offense, no surprise there. Our balance is great though.
