T.O. in the H.O.F.?

Is Does Terrell Owens get in the HOF? Great Numbers but was a locker room cancer. Imploded 3 teams. He's up for ballot in 2016.

He hasn't done anything to disqualify himself. One of the raps on the HOF is that they let personal opinions influence their decision making, so if they keep T.O. out, they will be acknowledging that it is a politically correct social club rather than a place to honor athletic achievements.

Bret Favre will be going in next year along with T.O.

Regardless of his personality issues you can make a pretty strong argument that Owens was the best WR of his era. He is definitely a hall of famer.

I wouldn't vote him in. He had the talent and has the individual stats but his net effect on most teams he was on was negative.

Team performance doesn't reflect that opinion though.

When he went to Philly he took that team to the next level after not being able to get over the hump for 4 years and damn near won Super Bowl MVP on a broken leg. His emergence was also the reason the 49ers were finally able to beat the Packers in the playoffs.

He may have worn out his welcome but he elevated his team's overall performance at every stop in his career until Buffalo (when he was 35+).

TO played wide open. He never took a play off. He blocked like a freight train. He very nearly willed the Eagles to a SB victory on a broken ankle but the wheezing puking out of shape Mcnabb deep sixed them. His issues were off the field.
Of course he is a HOF guy. His BS might hold him out a year or two but it shouldn't.

His numbers are too good to ignore, but voters will make him wait.

The irony of T.O.'s candidacy is that many if not most coaches wouldn't want anything to do with T.O. even when he was at the top of his game, that his antics were not worth it. But there's no doubt that he's one of the best receivers of his era.

Do you let in a guy that would make the ceremonies a joke. I say he dies then he gets in.

Now there's a thought: Does T.O. pull out a fake bag of popcorn to eat or pulls out a Sharpie and signs his bust? Can you imagine what Beast would do at his induction ceremony?

I was thinking of something a little more graphic.
