Seahawks/Pats from 2012

So I re-watched that game last night, and here are some observations:
- on Seattle's first 2 drives, especially the TD drive, RW3 was lights out on his accuracy, poise, and command. He threw some balls that were just plain perfect. I am not sure if I recall seeing him throw that way this year, he has become more conservative, but also had bigger targets in that game (Rice, Edwards, Miller). For a rookie, he was so impressive on those first 2 drives. It dried up a bit after that until the 4th quarter comeback. I just loved watching those first 2 drives though, he really does throw a beautiful ball.
- we really miss Zach Miller. Willson has done a fine job, but Miller is a great combo of blocker/pass catcher
- the defense played real physical, I had forgotten about the lick Browner put on Welker. This game seemed to feature a lot of passes towards Welker, who is now Julian Edelman. They seemed to be working on Browner as well. Brady threw a tonne of short intermediate route passes and seemed to rely on YAC, and then took a couple shots down field to keep the D honest.
- Earl still plays the same way. He was flying all over the field, taking a couple great runs at Gronk after he caught the ball. KJ Wright also put a good lick on Gronk on one play which injured him. Right to the back of the ribs, we will need more of that.
- Brady had both Gronk and Hernandez, it was a nightmare matchup, it is nice they don't have that combo anymore
- Brady threw it something like 55 times, the run game was non existent, something that should change next week with Leg Carrot Blount (for those that ready NFL QB's on Facebook..lol)
- RW3's game seemed to be less structured than it is now, which makes sense since he was a rookie. He was still in the middle of having the cuffs taken off that year. What I mean by that is he seems more conscious of not making a mistake now, in this game, he seemed at times to just play with reckless abandon and let his natural abilities shine through. He ran for one first down that was amazing, taking on a Pats defender on a situation that he might now normally slide.
- Baldwin made some nice catches in this game, him and Kearse will have to continue to make plays, obviously.
- the interior pass rush hurried Brady a few times, not exactly getting to him, but making him move his feet as he threw. causing him to throw a couple bad balls accuracy wise. I have not liked the interior pass rush recently, we are obviously missing a couple key guys there. Somehow, they will need to get interior pressure on Brady and hopefully get a few licks on him early
Anyone watch the game on NFL Network?.....any other thoughts or insights we can take away from this game?
