Who said Goober Bradshaw was smart?

Did anyone hear Bradshaw introduce Steve Largent during the trophy presentation after the NFCCG? "The only Seahawk in the Hall of Fame!". A guy that makes his living working as an NFL commentator that has never heard of Cortez Kennedy or Walter Jones?
I'm telling you, Forrest Gump has more upstairs than that toothless hillbilly. There's a reason why Bradshaw has never worked on a play-by-play broadcast crew: Because he's too frigging stupid to come up with spontaneous, original remarks. What you saw last Sunday is what happens when Bradshaw doesn't have idiot cards to read from.

I did notice that and through it was pretty typical for a guy who has been hit too many times in the head. I can sort of relate unfortunately.
Bradshaw is hardly the only sports journalist who is clueless about Seattle. I can forgive his historical errors more quickly than I can the talking head idiots who dont have any idea what the current roster does or is capable of doing.

A wise man once said “Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see.” Sage advice for all media reporting.......

I'd be willing to bet that every sports journalist in the country that covers the NFL could tell you that the Steve Largent was not the only Seahawk in the HOF. How long ago was it that Walter was inducted? Hell, Bradshaw is a member himself and he doesn't know who the recent inductees are? If Walter and/or Tez played for multiple teams I might understand the confusion.
And it's not that he got surprised by the moment. He knew that if the Hawks won he was going to introduce Largent to present the trophy. He had plenty of time to ponder his remarks.
I'm sorry, but there's no way of excusing Goober for that gaff.

I didn't notice it at the game, but did notice watching it back Sunday night that he said that. I had to rewind it a couple times to make sure I heard that right. Pretty sure Largent didn't want to embarrass him by correcting it, but Steve would have known Bradshaw screwed up when he said that.

It was stupid. Clearly Bradshaw isn't the sharpest tool in the shack. I seem to recall him being one of the former players who has expressed concerns over some memory loss so that might help explain it somewhat. It was goofy for sure.

Wow, can't believe I completely missed it, I was running around, yelling, sobbing a little, lighting off fireworks, taking " victory shots" discussing, and rehashing, and rehashing the discussions, and honestly I completely missed the trophy presentation, and probably didn't calm down and watch anything for the next couple hours, felt like a kid on ADHD that has done a line of coke or something for hours after the game..... But I can believe he said it, without a moments hesitation, isn't the first time he has butchered some Seahawks history. What a rube. The people he owes apologies to however aren't Seahawks fans, or current players or coaches, the owner or even Mr Seahawks Largent, but a couple big first ballot HOF players named Tez and Big Walt, something tells me this year at the luncheon he'll get a subtle reminder ( I mean hell he was AT the NFCCG when Walt and Co went on to face his Steelere in XL, did he really forget??) From about 650 pounds of monster..

I'm surprised it didn't get a rise out of Largent. At least try to whisper in Terry B's ear, but that's what you get with a lifetime politician. Maybe he couldn't hear him. It sounded loud on TV for a "half-empty" stadium.

Oh, I'm sure he heard him. The non response was classic Largent. He wasn't going to embarrass the host or do anything else to divert attention away from the moment. It wasn't about Largent, Walt, or Tez, it was about Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Pete Carroll, et al.
And just so my comments aren't misinterpreted, don't 'hate' Terry Bradshaw. Quite the contrary. When he played, all reports are that he was a great teammate and a fun guy to be around and I've since heard some complimentary remarks about Bradshaw's demeanor at autograph signings. But Terry Bradshaw is about as stupid of a tv personality that I can think of and I get a little tired of his non stop Hee Haw routine. It's as if he knows he isn't very smart and feels he has to resort to acting like a clown in order to distract people or avoid discussions requiring any kind of independent thought.
Is there any remaining doubt about Hollywood Henderson's charge concerning Bradshaw's ability to spell the word 'cat' after having been spotted the 'c' and the 'a'?

No, it's what you get from an exceedingly polite person.
